I used to have an awesome usps lady, but she moved a few years ago and the newer local post master here doesn't give a crap about anything other than collecting a pay check. I use UPS mostly, but my wife's job requires daily shipping and they only use FedEx. Anything "hazardous" or requires a signature and I'm not home, they call me and leave it in my shop. We've become decent friends with them both and have issues with them both, but nothing that was directly anyone's fault.

To jump in on the UPS bashing, I ordered a $3,500 camera body (which was basically all the money i had in the world) for work and they left it at the end of my neighbors driveway, who was out of town, for a week in the rain. The packaging and box for the camera soaked all the way through and if Nikon hadnt wrapped it in plastic, it would have been ruined. Fuckers.

How many miles/hours/passes does OT have on it? Or is it new?

Might actually know a guy who would want it. He's been looking at a bbc 632 build but last I knew hadn't pulled the trigger or totally decided yet

Was used in a hydroplane for years and freshened up every off season. Last ran in 2010 and had three heat races on it since being freshened and the new shaft rockers installed. The class rules changed and everyone went to blown alcohol, so this just sat in the shop. I'm trying to sell it for my buddy. Last builder to touch was Art Davidson, local guru.

It will need a dry sump pump and lines unless converted to a wet sump pump. Being in a boat, it never had a balancer, water pump, or flex plate. Will need a good ignition system too, it's 15:1 compression.

I sent him the info. he said he will take a look but probably not that interested right now. Decided he wanted to do his street car first from the sounds of it. He was sort of luckily and found a old timer who had three of the same car (cant remember for the life of me what they are) all in pretty good shape but missing the drivetrains. Picked up all three with plans to do a street, a drag, and a who knows what car over the next few years.

I swear that looks exactly like the motor that was in Will Muncie's little red UL boat!

Similar, very close to the engine that was fronheims "Pocket Mechanic" that Kiley drove, but this one is aluminum. After helping Will get the ignition setup working, I didn't help on that team. Our boat sold to Scott Pierce and is still running as a GP since the UL's are no longer.
I left the UL's in 2007 and went Unlimited, been working for the Raney's ever since.

Well Les Schwab took 8hrs to do my inner/outer tie rods and BJ's, and alignment. Wanted to charge me for all the labor and then I showed them the quote I got the day before. Only got charged for 3hrs labor. :woot:

Well guess what showed up on my porch today while I was at work. Has a small-ish hole in one side but box wasn't opened. Thankfully it got resolved.

That totally rocks! Unlimited are amazing!
You're the only one I know who speaks hydro!
Years ago I built motors for Brian Daley's F1 outboard boat. I was with Yamaha. sad the ULs went away right after Will got his dads Atlas Van Lines livery.
    Ahhhh, memories.

Is Kiley still driving a big boat?

Me too. I've been out of work officially since before Christmas. Unofficially, I may or may not have found side work to supplement my unemployment, and while I allegedly may have been doing side work, my company phone rang, but I missed the call. It was my boss's boss calling to tell me that I start work in NE Oregon again on Monday morning. So it will be cool to be working full time and making out of town money, but it sucks that I'll be away from home again.

I've been out of the navy since sept. I'll be working all of Oregon and southern Washington.
