Gasoline door

anyone have problems opening their gas door? 2015 4 door, seems bottom of the hinge squeeking and mis aligned. Anyone have similiar problems

 

Yes mine seems to want to fight me when opening and closing but I always forget to address it when I have a chance to. I guess it's not that important to me. Have you done anything to correct it yet?

 

Have you lubricated the hinges since purchasing the truck? The hinges are known for rusting and twisting if not properly maintained.

 

Yes I do spray them and lubricate them when the doors closed the left side of the where the hinge is the gap looks bigger like an out of plumb door. It looks to be rivited so removal not that easy. My tundra had similar door with key lock. No problems. Tacomas is of crap quality

 

My 2010 has been doing this for years. Good news is, it hasn't fallen off yet, and I can still wrench it out of the way to fill 'er up, so I don't really care.

I'd bet anything the G3's do the same.

I think they all do it. I've seen so many driving around with a missing fuel door.
At every oil change I spray some white lithium grease on the hinge.

 

Mine just started giving me problems. Makes an embarrassing noise when I open it at the gas station.

 

Mine does it, dealer actually bought me a new gas door but I never went back to get it painted and installed.

 

any one have any solutions or ideas for replacing it?
