Dale's Alignment in Langley, BC. The most knowledgeable, experienced folks around. Same guys that did the bushing for @BCJake.

With the new leaf springs, I'm getting a stupidly noticeable vibration around 25-35kph. I suspect there are two sets of different problems with my vibrations: 1) the front diff's bushing and 2) the angle of the driveshaft due to the new leaf springs.

Item #1 will be addressed by the ECGS bushing and alignment.

For item #2, the same shop is also installing a carrier drop, which should help, but will likely not eliminate the vibrations altogether (will know on the drive home tonight). It sounds like I'll need to get pinion shims to completely solve #2. The problem is that doing this will require essentially re-doing the entire leaf spring install, so the 3 hours of labour I paid to have it installed will go out the window. Frustrating.

Does this replacement apply to 2wd tacomas?

If and when I lift I'm keeping it 2" or below.

My original lift was 1 7/8" all around. I was happy with that, except for the rear squatting down any time I put so much as a box of tissues in the bed. On camping trips I was bro-leaning like you wouldn't believe. Thus the new rear leafs. I thought I had enough weight to keep the rear lift at around 3" or a bit less, but looks like that's not the case. In hindsight, should have gone with the regular All Pro pack instead of the Expedition one. Maybe I can pull a few leaves...

I'd probably stay with 6112s and 5160s with 3leaf progressive AAL and remove factory overload

ICON's progressive AAL and no factory overload was exactly my setup. Long bed, canopy, roughly 150lbs of misc gear, it gave me 1 7/8" lift from stock sport suspension.

I can't speak to #2 as I just installed an AAL and don't have the drive line symptoms. The ECGS will definitely take care of the front. You're definitely in good hands at Dale's so I suspect a positive turn out all around. Let me know how she drives when they're done with it.

Will do. I dropped it off early this morning and they just called me asking about the wheel lock key, so it sounds like they're just getting started and will likely have the truck for the rest of the day. Hoping I can pick it up in the evening. I got some good feedback in the driveshaft vibrations thread, and it sounds like I'll need to get shims for the leaf packs. Not sure who'll provide those or how this will work timing-wise, but fingers crossed I can get this resolved soon.

Picked the truck up. ECGS bushing seems to have smoothed some things out, but I'm still getting crazy vibrations between 25 and 35kph. Doesn't matter whether I'm accelerating, braking, or cruising. That speed range is nuts, and the carrier bearing drop doesn't seem to have helped.

Going to have the pinion angle measured on Monday and will then order shims based on the result. If shims don't do it, I think I'll have to get a one-piece driveshaft manufactured, as that seems to be a 100% solution.

Throw on some Sumosprings and reduce the squat. I've got about .5 inches of clearance unloaded; 200 lbs starts to make contact. Same AAL setup

rent them out, have them paypal you the amount to replace, and small fee to ship, then when they return them, you refund the money, it worked well for fender roller on lowered cars, allows a large group of people use the tools with only paying shipping back and forth, if they don't return, you have your money to replace.

I'm using Toyota oil as well, are we supposed to change? I just topped mine off after changing the bushing and seal.

Price of ECGS Bushing+3 hours labour+change for replacing lost fluid during the swap. If you have time and decent mechanical aptitude, you cash save a bundle by doing the swap yourself. ECGS has a couple of good videos on their website that more or less show you what is involved.
