Pelfreybilt claims their rear standard plate bumper weighs just a few pounds more than the stock bumper and tow hitch, which it replaces. So don't expect much difference in weight if you have the factory tow package. Unless of course you plan on getting a high clearance with swingout.
I have a set of AP standards sitting in garage, and will install them with some kind of shackle flip as soon as my SAS is done. Either the archive flip or ATO.

I was looking back through this thread for AP-Tanner's post with the spring rates and saw this. I didn't get a damn koozie with my order!:rofl::rofl:

Quoted you both to see AP tanner's reply above with the spring rates.
It would be best to get weights of everything you're planning. I had ~250 dirt bike ~100 pound wheel and tire spare in the bed plus a ~250lbs passenger up front and the standards truthfully didn't sag much and the truck rode very well. You may have enough weight being that the swing out puts the spare so far to the rear of the truck it has better leverage, but may be firm without a little extra weight.

Looking forward to mounting up my expos as well. Have had them sitting for almost a year. I'm expecting the ride to not be as stiff since I've got a Pelfrey HC, with swingout. Just need to pair it with the right shocks, and extended brake lines.

Let me know if you have any questions during the install, I have a few pictures in my build thread too.

That angle and camera distortion makes the rear overhang look so long

I would not make that assumption! I bought my Expos a few years ago, and the bilsteins they sent were no where near long enough. I love the springs. I have a heavy duty Leer cap and CBI wrap around bumper, paired with 3" FOX 2.5s up front. I have had the bed loaded with firewood and the springs handle weight very well. I don't find the ride rough at all either.

It matched to a fox part number for 2-3" of lift. You are correct though, and I do need to cycle my suspension to find the limiting factor and make sure the shocks are appropriate

So I didn't end up going with either All Pro kit. I was considering both, but wasn't looking for lift, only just some spring capacity.

So in August I went through and refreshed the suspension with a 2016 3-leaf pack, along with a 3-leaf AAL. I ended up pulling the overload leaf out of the pack. 5160s in the rear, 6112s up front on the 2nd notch. The whole goal was to add rear spring "capacity" by allowing the truck to be loaded heavier making it level when loaded. I effectively added rake in the rear and brought the front up slightly to compensate.

I parked it next to a brand new Chevy 1500 to see how it compared. See for yourself, the bumpers, bed height, hood and rake all look very similar.

A couple weeks later and I got to finally try the truck out loaded with a cord of wood. In the past, it looked quite pathetic, with the rear practically riding on bumpstops.

With the new setup, it handled the load in the bed along with 3 people in the cab very nicely. It's not a major difference, but it really makes the truck feel better both when loaded down and almost neutral and no different while unloaded. As far as I'm concerned it's a v6 half ton.

This is brilliant! It’s been 18 months or so since you posted this... any further thoughts on the setup?

Where did you get the leafs? Dealership?

Where did you get the AALs?
