Not sure if this is the right flasher for your truck, but I believe they have one that stops the "hyperflash"

    https://www.diodedynamics.com/store/cf18-lm449-led-flasher-module

This is a replacement turn signal flasher module. It will eliminate fast turn signal blinking, known as hyperblinking, that occurs when you replace your turn signal bulbs with LEDs. It has been designed specifically for use with LEDs.

This module is specifically for your vehicle! It will be 100% plug and play. Just remove the factory flasher, and plug this one in.

    Hyperblinking
Why do you need this module? When your factory turn signal bulbs go out, your vehicle's flasher senses that less power is being used, and it will blink the turn signals quickly to alert you. When LED turn signal bulbs are installed, it lowers the load on the circuit too, because LEDs use less power. You get the fast blinking, known as "hyperblinking," even though the LEDs are functioning just fine. Basically, your car thinks the bulbs went out!

To slow down the blinking to regular speed, you can add resistors to increase the circuit's power consumption again. However, whenever possible, replacing the flasher with a module like this is the easiest option. This is the unit that actually controls the blinking speed, and makes the "clicking" noise.

Poorboyz LOCKING bed mount spare. Ohh yeah!

    IMG_0219.jpg

    IMG_0220.jpg

aka the Harbor Freight special. Spare didn't fit in stock location and I dont feel like cutting, or abusing the wheel down there. Also, it's a PITA to get it in and out of that location (or else my spare "crane" doesn't go all the way down, or else I'm retarded)

Eventually I'll get a @Mobtown Offroad rear with swing away but this works for now.

If only there weren't people around here that would walk with it...freakin baltimore

Not with that sweet locking cable :D worst case it flops against the bed side panel (or rips the D-ring completely out) Wasn't planning on it but I might take some bets on your call. Tonneau'll keep 'er in there.

In seriousness though, this is just a daily-driver workaround until I get something together. Need a spare

It's what the Tacoma did for me today! Pulled my utility trailer and helped a friend get his mower to the repair shop. Also picked up about 400# of top soil (12 bags) to fill in some spots in my yard and some landscape plants. Love to use it as a truck!

Did my first oil change today after taking the truck to the dealer for my 30K and finding out I no longer qualify for free Toyota Care maintenance. Wanted to charge me $154 for an oil change and the other so called services they claim they do. Bought 3 filters while there on sale for $4.44 each (limit of 3 only), went to Costco and bought a six-pack of Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30. This was by far the fastest, cleanest and easiest oil change I have ever done on any vehicle I own or ever owned.

Sorry, no pic since it was in the garage and it's pretty straight forward, so...

A while back, fucking around with my horns after I relocated them to under the hood, I broke the bolt that hold the actual horn to those tab looking long pcs. Yeah yeah yeah... I did right loosy instead of left loosy. DOH! Used some JD Weld on it and seemed to be holding up.

So... the other day, when I was installing me LED light bar and running the fuse wires, etc, I messed with it and it broke off. Was planning on going to the stealership and buying a new set (since they are a pair) since don't really see those for sale on here very often.

By a stroke of pure luck, I stumbled upon a thread that someone was selling theirs from an 09 for what I thought was super cheap, so got them!!

Came in the mail yesterday, and as all my mods usually get done (in the garage, at night, while the kids are asleep), I swapped them out.

They had been working a bit "funky" since I relocated them though... sometimes only one would go off after pressing on the horn, and then after a bit they would both go off. Never quite understood why though. I don't think it matters what plug goes into what, meaning, there is a high and a low horn, and the plugs are the same, so don't think it mattered. Guess we'll see how they sound tomorrow morning, while I'm driving.

This is true about the wiring harness. I got an adapter but had to attach all the wires to each corresponding one. The nice part is on my h/u every wire had a label so I knew what it was for which was sweet. I totally twisted them together and wrapped in electrical tape at first... don't do what I did. That's some ghetto shit. Ended up making the connections more legit with butt connectors. I've since picked up a soldering iron so I could go super anal on it eventually but everything's holding up nicely now.

There are features on the BOSS unit I'm not even using like the back up camera it came with and sub input. I tried the included wireless mic but the quality sucks so I'll stican with the speaker on my phone. Not bad for a fairly cheap unit. It even has a remote, LOl!

Noticed the driver side HID went this evening. Ugh. Started chasing it. Ended up being a bad ground for the ballast. Driver side ballast is grounded infront of the battery on the body. Got it working for now but once the temps warm up Im gonna redo both ballast grounds.

Haha i know that feeling. Using the truck as a truck, finally. I've used my truck more as a daily in the past year. Use of the bed, here, and there.
