    Hey guys! I figure someone in here may know the answer to this...

    We just put in a gym at work, but no one thought about providing any type of spray cleaner or wipes. Is there a standard type of chemical spray/cleaner that should be used for the equipment? I'm looking to have the cleaning company that comes in at night keep the spray bottles full, but can't seem to find what the standard is.

    I've looked around but can only seem to find what a bunch of specialized companies sell and they all seem to have different cleaners/chemicals in them.

    Thanks in advance for the help :thumbsup:

    Quick answer is 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Good read from the American Red Cross.

    They haven't looked into anything, which I why I want to give them a simple solution with a standard cleaner. I was hoping there would be something out there to make it easy.

    Here is a quick copy and paste from that article. You could buy some regular household bleach and mix it with water. I dont see why you wouldn't be able to mix into smaller container as long as you went by that 1:9 ratio of bleach to water. Mix it together, wait 10 minutes, and there you go. Note that it says fresh, so you'd probably have to do this daily or a couple times per week.

    "Use a fresh disinfectant solution of approximately 1½ cups of liquid chlorine bleach to 1 gallon of water (1 part bleach per 9 parts water, or about a 10% solution) and allow it to stand for at least 10 minutes."

    I was hoping for a standard cleaner to make it easier on the cleaning company to acquire it and keep it stocked rather than a "specialized" gym equipment cleaner. If that makes any sense....
