I have two interviews. One I thought was a sure thing and got told fuck me. The other I thought I bombed, and they are flying me out to Cali for a second interview. Weird, the way shit works.

 

Oh, and @Subway4X4 turns out one of my stores has an entire shop in it. I'm going to order KYB strut mounts and have the front struts assembled there. Unless someone can recommend a better strut mount to use?

I ran 255/85/16 on TRD OR wheels without trimming anything. That's what I was running at the Takeover last year. They didn't rub at all. Maybe on the factory mudflaps or the little flap in the front, but those were long gone by then.

 

Are you talking about the top hat? The OEM top hat of your truck should be fine to use. I see no reason to order anything new.

 

I cut mine back to the edge of the firewall (as close as I could get the grinder anyway) on the top, and about the same on the bottom. If you're going to cut, take enough that you'll have to tub the firewall before it's going to rub, just as a precaution.

 

Hey guys, I wanna get my CB professionally tuned. Any recommendations on a CB shop that can do this local to me?

 

how would you go about tuning it yourself with an adjustable tip? u need an swr thing I assume?

 

Any good truck stop that has a CB shop should be able to do it.
Having an SWR meter is only part of it. They need to check the antenna and cabling for shorts and/or high impedance.

 

Yea I think my CB just blows, gonna have to get a new one sooner or later cuz last trip the quality was terrible and sometimes I couldn't even hear people only like a 1/4 mile in front of me

 

Likely NOT your CB. Probably you antenna/cable might be the issue. I'll bring my SWR Meter this Sunday. Is there easy access to your CB antenna connection in the back of the CB unit? We can at least check the SWR.

 

yea mine is some random one from the 80s I found in my grandparents garage a couple years ago lol, Ill have to mess with the gain then, I honestly don't have a clue how CB tuning works, even those dials on the thing I barely know how to use

 

yea easy to access, I keep it under the seat my cable and antenna are brand new

 

Not sure about local to you but @V5ioV used the cb shop I recommended and they fixed his shit... newport bay electronics in east brunswick NJ... a hike from you...
