Yep, that's what I had to replace and was sweating bullets the whole time because I didn't want to screw up the teeth. It's been a few years, and I can't find the product that I used, but it crimped on.

    Perfect.

Thank you! Local shops wanted to replace the entire zipper for well over $100 in labor alone. I will try this out possibly this weekend.

Not ours it looks like but we do have some zipper heads if you need. You wont find them in the US, as the difference between China and the Us is like metric to standard. Let us know if you need help.

I had the same thing happen with mine, tepui sent me a whole new zipper assembly (like to sew on...) But I just slide the old one off at the end and stole the zipper thingy off the new one they sent and done. You can try some alteration shops to see if they can match the zipper size but I'm sure whoever you bought the tent from can get you a replacement

After that happened I was much more cautious with keeping the extra material out of the zipper and getting it stuck

Local shops are telling me I need an entire new zipper sewn in at $150. No damn way.

I'll zip by hand which will take way longer and test my patience before I do that.

Nah, just undo those small clips at the end of the zipper tracks so you can pull the zipper all the way off

That's what the Internet told me. I might be camping this weekend so it might be a hand-zip weekend. :censored:

That's what I was thinking. JB Weld a ring on the zipper pull and use a piece of string to pull it. Good temporary solution until you get a new zipper pull.

For those of you with a bed rack!! How are you storing things? I had a toolbox before my bed rack but can't fit it any longer. What do I do?

I still haven't gotten my tent out of the box or ordered a rack, but this is how we've been storing gear when we ground camp:

    * A husky job box chained to the a tie down in the bed that holds things of moderate value (camp stove, lantern, camelbaks, some of the more expensive sailing gear)
    http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-37-in-Mobile-Job-Box-Utility-Cart-Black-209261/203668066

    * A couple of cheap Rubbermaid totes for things that I don't care about walking away (food, clothes, blankets, folding chairs, beach towels, spare boat parts)

    * The more expensive stuff rides in a smaller tote in the back seat (GPS, cameras, iPad)
