Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

I'm pretty sure spacers will be needed, @Alfuh has 16's with 4.5" bs if I'm not mistaken.

 

yeah you'll need spacers to run those steelies. I know without my spacers my 16x8s fit, but barely, probably about 1/2" to spare between the wheel and spindle. You will have to do spacers on all sides. you could do the 1.25s up front and a set of 2" in the back if you are looking for even track width

so with the spindles you can just get them with no aftermarket shocks/struts unless you want? And they will fit with any bilstein? the only thing i would need is like AALs or Blocks? should i get extended shocks in the rear? Im confused can anyone help?

 

Yes. You can run stock shock and coils with these for sure. I am.

I run full Dakar leaf packs in the rear, with extended length bilsteins.

 

don't forget extended brake lines for the rear also

 

Yes, these are crucial af.

The kit comes with Extended lines for the front, but you will have to order them for the rear also.

I would get in touch with Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road - she will set you up nicely.

 

Spindles up front don't require new shocks unless you WANT to change them for a better ride &/or added lift in addition to the 4 inches.

The rear is not affected by the spindles at all, you don't have to change shit if you like just the front higher. If you get an AAL you probably won't need extended brake lines, I didn't for 1.5" & I wheeled mine damn hard. If you get a full replacement pack then you're looking at minimum 3" rear lift, now you need lines. Either way for the rear you'll need extended length shocks.

 

okay so i guess i would go with a full 5100 set, spindles, ext brake lines, rear block and AAL (i like the ass high). u think thats good?

 

Swap the block for Dakars and be happy.

 

Standard 5100's won't accomodate more than ~2" of rear lift, if your blocks put you over that you'll need something like these

honestly sounds like a lot of work and thought, im 16 and just got my truck. I think i might just go with a 3" procomp lift. Is that frownedupon?

 

It's really not that bad. You can find 17" take offs from another truck or something.

You talking about a drop bracket lift or coil spacers?

I would just do the spindle lift and be happy.

 

It can be complicated having to mix & match parts to get the desired outcome. Procomp is generally disliked 'round these parts'. If you're uncomfortable at all I'd give Headstrong a call. They know their shit & will give you solid info, not once have they mislead a forum member or taken advantage of their credit card.
