Does anyone have any advice for removing the chrome off my bumpers and grill ? I want to black it out. Not sure the best approach and long lasting durability. Thanks

Remove the grill before you paint. For the bumper you could remove, but I would just tape off around the chrome. You want to scotch brite or sand the chrome surface to create micro abrasions. Clean it with alcohol to remove particles and dirt. Use a good adhesion promoter / self-etching primer.

    a thread on it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/painted-my-grill-today.32534/

After years of being a garaged truck I'm moving Ol' Red outside to make room for the new daily driver :(

    I feel guilty.

So much so that a carport is being built this spring

    Yup.

I have a feeling I'm going to do any annoying garage shuffle in the winter. Make sure the truck is garaged when I'll be driving it on slick roads, etc

"Good" thing it's supposed to be in the upper 50s and 60s here for the next couple of weeks. Yay winter!

Replaced both headlights for $42.00 a set from Amazon. However.....The new "ball & Sockets were loose. Instead of trying to return or replace them I switched the bad ones with the originals.
There was also a plastic mount that was different from original, so I changed that over too.
I also waxed behind the headlights and grill since it was off.

I guess my 10.50's were too wide for factory mud flaps. I messed up on the right side and didnt flip over the plastic. Just have to see how long these last....
