bargain hunt/essex is based in the nashville area. they specialize in closeout and return items from online retailers like Amazon. frequently things get returned and just have a damaged box.. or they weren't even returned they just had a damaged box and were never even sold. they have some garbage items but a really loose return policy, no questions asked for 30 days.

Yep... and sadly I'm between jobs ATM and am the receiving clerk at the Florence AL. outlet. I'd been in before, but had no idea of the stuff they went through. Our location runs through four tractor/trailer loads of products a week. As drwx stated, it's a close out type business with 60 sum odd stores. Lots of it is pure shit, some pure gold. The real deal is it's a date based price, the longer an item sits, the lower the price goes. I just bought a Breville coffee maker (grind control) model new in dented box for $115.00 (Amazon average $299.00).

Their "thing" is that all of the price labels are dated. After 30 days past the date, the price drops 10% and then another 10% every 10 or 15 days. I haven't been in there in a while. They have a huge price schedule on the wall and normally have sheets printed daily and stuck on the aisles letting you know what the discount is for whatever date range to prevent having to count up the days.

The real gold is in finding the stuff with the 90% discount that has been sitting there for months. When they first started up, this was easy, but now they are really popular so it's tough..... Especially since I've caught them changing date stickers more than once.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I forgot to mention, after last weekend's smoke, I netted a bunch of extra food. Threw all of it in foodsaver bags. I believe I have 4 packs of brisket and 6 packs of pulled pork.

I feel you there too. I think ive got a butt hidden down in the bottom of mine somewhere, but I haven't wanted to move all the other stuff out of the way to get to it. having a separate would be ideal.
