    Now ive seen the 17" Tacoma steels i wouldn't mind a set of those, man they look like super old classic steel wheels (love my FJ's still)

    What lugs are you running on your wheels? Been trying to find a dark/black chrome option and having no luck. Can't tell from your pic if that's what your running or not. At this point, anything's better than the $5 per that Toyota wants for the wheel specific lugs.

    Classy color choice and precisely what I'll be doing here in a week or so. Recall the paint name/code? Cardinal, Axalta or Prismatics powder by any chance?

    I've got 2 more wheels to pick up this weekend to complete my full 5-set and then they're off to the painter Monday. Been chomping at the bit to put a set of gray 16-hole (oval) steel spares on my Tacoma ever since the dealership delivered it. Had a rather pristine '88 FJ62 I sold a number of years ago (still kicking myself for letting the wife talk me into that one) that I ran a set of gray split rims on. Nothing compares, in my opinion, to the simplicity of steel wheels...especially those that hearken back to the days of Toyota's gray and white wheel color schemes.

    Thanks Podge, I dig 'em! They were coated by a friend of mine and i have no idea what he used as far as brand or color. I showed him Magnetic Grey Metallic and this was what i got. Looking back, i think dove grey would have been a better choice but maybe next time. I'm a sucker for the old Landcruisers too.

    I'm running some "racing" open lugs I got off Amazon. If I remember correctly it was like $1 a lug.

    Craigslist is a magical place...
    It's a canback, which means that it has a fixed frame instead of a foldable one. This means you can mount stuff to it, like a roof rack and hi lift. I dig it. Wish it was black tho.
