It's a terribly stupid idea to use clamps unless you well a C on the ends to grab the coils lol

Do it with the coil over on the truck. @ChandlerDOOM showed that one to me a couple weeks ago. Was impressive.

I have a set of internal compressors. Useless for coilovers. Just looked at a set of external compressors @ Advance Auto. $14.95 (+ emergency room co-pay) Not impressed enough to buy them.

About 30 years ago, I was swapping out coils on the front of a '68 Camaro I owned. Poor boy at the time and was trying to live above my means. That almost always turns out bad. Taking out big block coils and putting in Moroso drag coils. My dad had a metal banding machine (like used to strap shit to pallets) We compressed a spring in a hydraulic press, then banded it with 4 separate bands. I stood it on end on my work bench while I got tools ready to install it. I turned back around to the bench just as the bands broke. The spring kicked down hard enough to break through 2 layers of 3/4" plywood, went up past my face knocking off my hat, and through the drywall ceiling in the garage. I had to climb up in the attic to find the spring. Considered it a lesson learned.

Have never compressed a coil spring since, other than the "in place" method using weight of vehicle and a floor jack.

Wheelers Super Bumps arrived today! Just got back from hardware store with 4 bolts needed to install rear bumps. (3/8" X 3/4") Have 3/8" taps, and have correct # size drill bits. (1/2" U-bolt plates furnished with Headstrong flip kit need to be drilled and tapped) If I can get my lazy Saturday ass out of bed and moving in the morning, that job will be done. Fronts require much less effort. CMC next week, tires to follow. Choices down to 255/85/16 KM2's OR 285/75/16 Mastercraft Courser MTX

Sliders will have to wait until after LBL. But they'll be ordered in the next couple weeks. Catching up after last years health issue/set back...
