Wrong thread for this, but, A lift does not magically make your wheel wells bigger. With a lift a larger tire will only clear better at ride height. If you actually wheel your truck (the purpose for a larger tire) it will not clear at full stuff without trimming/ CMC.

Agreed it's not the right thread lol, but plenty of guys with pros are putting on 33's with little to no trimming and experiencing no issues. Don't want people looking for information to read this and get the wrong info if they're pro owners.

Anyways, back to the thread, if you call nitro direct they'll sell you the lite gear kit for $780 with free shipping. Didn't ask about the full master kit but I'd imagine it's a lot less than anything you'd find online.

I spoke to a guy named Drew, he was really helpful and recommended a shop nearby I could use for the service that they trust to do the job on a taco.

Once I'm ready to pull the trigger they'll drop ship the parts to that shop (or any other shop I choose) and 2 days after I drop off the truck I'll have my torque back! The shop Nitro recommended quoted $1,200 for the service which is right around what a few other local places have quoted.

So with parts and labor, tax etc. we're talking just over 2g's to regear. Oh also add the cost to change diff fluids (if you don't or can't do it yourself) at 500 miles. Maybe another couple hundred bucks there?

Yes sir... If you're under 10,000 miles. If you're over and installing the master kit probably closer to $2,300.

Took me about a hour to do it myself. Change with Royale Purple about 6 quarts. Super easy, the front was little PIA but easy.

Is it seriously a couple hundred bucks to change diff fluid?? It takes like 10 minutes for the rear and maybe 20-30 for the front.

Really? These shops are all quoting about 6 hours for front and 6 for back... That's not adding up if it took you an hour?

You're talking about two different things. He's talking about a fluid change.

If you pay someone likely yes. Materials and labor.... Probably two hours of labor at ~75+ bucks an hour?

My mistake, I have no experience with mall crawling. FWIW I have Pro wheels and a Pro only sits 1" higher, no way I could easily fit 33s

With offroading you need the tiniest bit of trim if you have a problem with hearing the occasional rub, otherwise it's unnecessary.

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
As you can see it easily fits 33's with minor trimming. And I mall crawl all day long!! Lol

    Looks great!

I'd throw on a set of bed stiffeners. There was a thread on here somewhere about the rear of the bed spreading with Caps and weight up top.

Yeah, I've looked at the ones from Total Chaos it's just pretty tight with my drawers so I'm trying to figure something out.

My shop is on the expensive end, and whenever we do gear jobs, we do the fluid change for free during the 500 mile inspect.
