Why did you replace them? Did one break? The bolts are rusty looking and ugly, but function just fine.

Try Kano Kroil instead of pbblaster, or ATF and Acetone 50/50.

Read an article in the recent 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine about the Man-A-Fre long range fuel tanks for 4-Runners, and jumped on their site to see if they offer one for a 2nd gen Tacoma. Nope, so I emailed them. Here's what I got in response:

"Thanks for the email. I will look into it."

Maybe if they receive more interest, they will offer something. There are no other US off-the-shelf options that I am aware of, and there's millions of these trucks out there. If you would be interested in 35-plus gallons in the tank, email Man-A-Fre (sales@manafrelv.com) and ask them to make us some tanks!

    More today.
Front and rear hinged, middle pulls out, as do the sides. The middle frame bolts to the 2x8 cross members. They have to go in/comeout separately. The front section is a separate box 40 x 20 (approx).
A couple bugs to work out before I carpet it.

Installed my DIY Hi-Lift mounts last night... Kind of a pain in the ass, thanks to the inside lip of my camper top! But they're in and pretty damn solid!

This was just being discussed in the expo thread. Put a ford tank where the spare goes and you get an additional 35 gallons.

The ford or ours? I'm pretty sure ours are in the tank but never messed with one so I can't say for sure.

Ford's depend vehicle make. The trucks usually do @ least the older ones did on my 84 & 86 f150s. I might look into this as future mod...

I know, but I don't want a secondary tank, or a tank in the bed, or any other work around. I want a long range replacement tank, or I'll carry jerry cans.

I greeted the UPS driver.IMG_20170203_154950937.jpgI'm getting impatient waiting for warm weather, or at least the end of snow season. My truck will be unrecognisable after the mods I have waiting to get installed.
