    I also have a bull bar.. Now I wouldn't have it if it hadn't come on the truck, but the previous owner put it too close to the bumper and had rubbed the paint on the bumper so it make it look bad with it off. So I just threw some LED pods on it.

    Yes but your posted reasoning is moot in this case since it happens with plate bumpers too. In fact even worse since the plate bumper doesnt give like a bull bar.

    I had the same issue when i took my bullbars off. My truck's new name is Scarface. Previous owner happened to be my father, so didn't mind that it had bullbars.

    I'm not seeing where it's a debate between plate bumpers, and bull bars. Just some people suggesting what to get/not to get, some saying how the BB can cause more damage, than not having it. Others calling BS on it. I'm relating my experience with BB's. which is relevant to the latter.

    Not true of all aftermarket bumpers...one of the reasons I went with my ARB (incidentally, called a Bull Bar :rofl:) was because of it's impact/crush zone mounts and air bag compatibility.
