really just don't want to buy a cheap welder, i was looking at millermatics. would rather know that one of us will want to do it and can do it before spending that kinda dough upfront

 

You saying i can't weld? Cause really, none of my shit i've made has fallen apart...excpet my first bed rack that i rolled a truck over and even then it did okay. And that was my first time welding anything haha



The good news on that is if you get a nice welder..you can always sell it for a good price. Or buy a used one for now to get setup and started.

My only advice is go to 220v. Seriously. don't fuck with 110.

I'm ready to start packing it down to Scottsdale November through May, it's getting old. Did you guys get blasted in Lander yesterday? I guess Dubois got over a foot yesterday, haven't been over there in a couple of weeks though. Supposed to get at least another 10" in Moran in the next 48 hours, but on top of the 60" base who's counting.

 

Very much disagree.

Stick welding is harder as you have to control the penetration rate at the same time which is key and know how to do your rod passes.

Its one of the if not the strongest form of welding though.

Mig is very fast to learn. Not nicknamed the steel hit glue gun for nothing.

It'll make it back too. Its a Tacoma. Prep for its second launch.
