    Brew day!!!

So, last weekend my daughter brings home a bottle of Chimay Red. As we're pouring, the homebrewer in me says, "hey, I should harvest the yeast in that bottle," so I did and proceded to make a yeast starter.

    WP_20170202_001.jpg

Once the starter took off and showed itself to be viable, I thought, "I need to brew something with this." So, I put together a simple recipe for a Belgian Blond Ale and am brewing it right now.

    WP_20170203_003.jpg

Hopefully, this brew will be kegged and ready to drink in about two weeks.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying a chocolate coffee imperial stout on nitro that I brewed last February.

I did this with Heady Topper. I've got a good jar ready for a brew in a week or so

Chimay Blue, the holy grail of Belgian quads. I'll be brewing a clone recipe in a couple weeks.

Working from home and it's raining. . .

Decided to bust out a 2015 Bourbon County. Lets see how productive I am for the remainder of my work hours. . .

Just letting it warm up . . .

Sounds good. I'm originally from SoCal and have family there, so I may just hit you up on that sometime. If you find yourself in the Fort Collins area, give me a shout. I have 5-6 brews on tap every day.

It's my absolute favorite BBA Stout for the buck! I say this after being spoiled with The Bruery, Bottle Logic, and Fremont BBA stouts.

I have two 2013 & 2014 on deck waiting for the right time. I still have 8x 2015 stored aways as well as 16x 2016 in the cellar. So you can say I love Bourbon County.

Not a fan of the Barleywine versions. However this years 2016 BC Coffee version is a must if you can.

I had 2014 BC Vanilla Rye on tap in Portland last year and I was in Bliss. Unlimited pours of a Rare beer till they tapped out.

I also recommend Monkish "Gift of Death" BBA Vanilla Stout in Heaven Hill barrels for 18 months.
