Entune Hates Android

I use 3rd party calling apps (whatsapp & kakaotalk) to make international calls frequently for work. These worked seamlessly with Iphone but with Android bluetooth on the truck hangs up but my phone doesn't. I end up having to use speaker on my phone to use the calls. I just had my entune system updated in hopes that it would fix the problem but no luck. I've hooked up several of my buddy's iphones and they all work well my S7 edge no luck.

 

I had problems with Entune and my Samsung phone for over a year.... it got soo bad I could never pair the phone to the truck .... I would eventually pair then 5 minutes down the road nada... pain in the ass big time... Recently and I'm talking like around new years 2017 my phone auto updated itself and problem solved. I did call Samsung about it and called Toyota too.... no love until the auto update... now I have absolutely no issues, my phone pairs before I'm even in the truck.

 

Don't worry it hates iOS also. I can't have any contacts saved to the radio and use the feature that reads text messages.

 

It read two messages for me and that was the last time it worked.

 

Delete the programmed contacts on the radio and it'll work.

 

Like erase the quick contacts list and keep that option off?

Mine connects itself but will disconnect after about 10 mins. Then I have to manually reconnect again.

 

try turning your 'Airplane Mode' on and then off. This seems to work for me every time. Usually my phone pairs up no problem, but every once and a while I need to do this. Quick fix.

Mine has been fine with my Nexus 6p. Occasionally audio won't play through Bluetooth, so I had to disconnect and reconnect. But that has only happened like twice.

 

I also have the Nexus 6p.

 

Third with a 6p. Mine does this every now and again with my aftermarket radio in my jeep and has done it once in the wife's car too.

 

Mine has worked flawlessly with my v10 and now my mate 9. My girlfriend's Subaru on the other hand is something nightmares are made of.

 

I am not seeing how to do this.....

 

Delete your phone then add it back but don't store contacts.

 

I have the same problem with WhatsApp on my Galaxy S7. I end up having to disconnect Bluetooth and just hold the phone to my ear or use the phone's speaker phone.

It's definitely a problem with Entune. I rent a lot of vehicles when traveling and almost all of them work with WhatsApp via Bluetooth. Hopefully a future update on either Entune, the phone, or WhatsApp will address the issue.
