I took the truck for a little run to get a better feel of how it's running.
The BD tune seems to like 4th gear the most. It seemed to stay around 14.7 most of the time. Dropped down to 10-12 when I smashed the pedal. It didn't seem to do so well in "D". Went to 16 on my gauge but just had to give it more gas to make it drop. God this thing is fast.

It is. You don't need anything, you can get the immobilizer work without any device, see the youtube video: https://youtu.be/724kLMiRmpg

Mine was just plug&play, because no immo. For the VIN change you need Techstream/VUW and the Mongoose/similar.

    I will, next week.

Today I got the spare ECU reflashed, but I had not enough time to try the VIN change. But couple weird things happened, first, check this:
So, ...300 file downloaded, ...100 installed.o_O Well, this ...100 is the older version of the right tune.

But the second weird thing, before the reflash it ran very rich at idle and at low load, about LTFT -20, now after the reflash it's very lean, LTFT is between 17 to 25.
Unichip, which I used before, is not connected now.

WTF happened? Feels like the LTFT memory was as zero point and now the tune is adjusted way too low injection times. :annoyed: Could this be possible and explain some differences after reflashing?

I have to check the MAF first, but I don't think it's so dirty, because the trims were ok before. Maybe the TRD CAI makes some %s, but less than 10. I don't know what takes the other 10...

So after flashing it with the TRD tune the fuel trim is +17%?

After your reflash it should have taken a while for the ltft should have been at 0. And stft changing a lot to turn the ltft to that much.
I'm gonna hopefully doing my flash next weekend. I'll take pics or videos. I'll be doing mine at home so I'll have plenty of time and can take videos of fuel trims at idle.

My battery has been unplugged for months tho. And I'm also gonna be running the 76mm throttle body too so it has to learn that.

At least yours is drivable now, I'm not driving it until I get this fixed. God knows what premature damage I've already done.

Yep it runs like a champ now with the AFR calibrator. The open loop tune still has some weak areas according to my AFR gauges, though. Which is why I'm still interested in the UCON. But for now I'm driving it without a worry.

I grabbed a spare ECU from eBay recently. Going to pick up a Mongoose soon and try this as well.
