RubyOverland's 2016 Off-Road 4x4 Build - SOLD

I'm not sure what bar you're looking at for the prinsu rack, but I'm going with OZ-USA S4D bars for my rack and bumper. I'd love Baja Designs on everything but I just can't justify that kind of cost, personally. I've read nothing but good reviews and they use the 4D optics that the Caliraised/Rigid bars use.

Just my 2 cents -- do whatever you want! As I'm not sponsored nor racing my truck across the Gobi, I can't really justify the cost of some of those high-end lights, nor do I want to use no-name ebay lights on everything.

 

Nor can I. It's just way too much money for the Baja Designs.

 

I'm ordering my lights soon -- I can let you know how they perform if you're interested.

Was bored this afternoon and toyed around with making a decal for my truck. Thoughts? FYI the hiker has a ponytail and the "R" is for Ruby (hence the gem stone).

 

Make the ponytail a bit more noticeable. Really hard to tell at first glance What you draw this up with?

Love this setup. How do you like the RF mounts? Any movement? I'm wondering if I can fit the Hi-Jack under a tonneau cover with this setup? Looks like there is plenty of clearance. Haven't ordered them yet but looking to do so.

 

Truck looks great, love the sliders too. I thought it looked stock, looks killer now.

 

I love them. I have a tonneau as well and have zero issues.

BTW...what made you go with the Metal tech sliders? Price? They look great on the truck! Also...any drilling required on the frame or are they configured to just bolt on?

 

A friend of mine had them for his 4Runner and I liked how they were a little different. I don't remember price exactly I'll have to look it up. They are bolt on and some of the holes are already there but six holes you have to drill thru the bottom of the frame to make it fully off-road capable.
