    went with a few friends of mine from raleigh. as soon as i hit the first climb i was like.....clearance clearance clearance!!! i need clearance!! got to play with my locker. all in all i was a happy camper and now time to save for the build.

    oh yeah... smacked my frame in 1 spot. no big deal. going over another rock i almost high centered my truck. i want bigger tires but i need a lift so i can clear bigger tires

    Yea, those frame hits usually feel and sound worse than they are. I hit my SOSconcepts skids one time I felt it up my spine. Skids were like lol what rock.

    Once you come out of Richland rd. you can hit the Blue Ridge Parkway and head to NC105 across the top of Linville gorge, about an hour drive. Free camping all along that road and great for groups.

    Just saying they are there and the last couple Hammock outings in that area have had bears open yeti coolers, get inside vehicles, and generally walk through camp. I don't blame them, it's their home we're infringing on.
