When I was looking for cables for my HD TV (days and night of online research and looking in the stores), I learned what others have said here: Monster and Best Buy (and Fry's) are a total ripoff.

Online vendors like Monoprice and Blue Jeans Cable offer the best variety and prices. Blue Jeans has Belden cable at excellent prices, and their service was great. And you can order exactly the size you need...

Fry's has an in-house brand 6' cable thats 6 bucks, best B&M deal I could find. Both of my HDMI cables came with my TV though, complimentary of the place I bought it from.

no matter what you do, don't buy from Best Buy!

    They are a rip off.

And all HDMI are the same. Only the length is different.

i refuse to buy third party items; the name brand stuff is more expensive, but with the cheap crap, you get what you pay for imo

The only time you need to spend extra money on an HDMI is for long runs. I bought a nice 50' one from blue jeans cable for $150 for my dads home theater setup...thing was a beast. It's thicker than the connector.

For my setup I got the frys cheapo 10 dollar hdmi...works great.

Like some have already said: SAVE UR MONIES....go with inexpensive cables from monoprice or blue jeans..........no difference in quality.

Yeah just get some off of ebay. I got like 5 from ebay and they all work great IMO. I have them on everything I got hooked up right now. My HD receivers, PS3, and my upscaling DVD players. Never had a problem since and its been quite some time now.:D

Here is one for free after $5 rebate from Fry's...

Digital is either an on or off signal. Either the signal makes it from end to end, or doesn't. The only reason to pay a little more for a cable is if you have a long run...

3-15 foot range, never pay more than $10...
