I have the full size spare also. No mileage on it, but it is dirty.

 

So who has done the BMC and who thinks they could possibly help me if I need to do it on my 4Runner? The more i think about it the more i think i may rub when i get my new tires and wheels put on.

 

Thats a sweet setup! Just out of curiosity any idea how much weight have you added to it when its loaded down with the tent etc?

I did on my white truck. Wasn't bad at all. Just pull the tire so you have room and use a grinder to cut your mount.

 

Did you just leave it without a plate? Did you paint it to prevent rust?

 

I painted mine, but never added a plate after cutting. Did the same when I had my 07. Never had any problems with it.

 

I ordered relentless fab filler plates and had a local welder weld it for me and yeah I rattled canned it.

 

How much ? Would you sell w/o the tires?

 

Anyone have suggestions for what kind of grease to use for the HVAC motor? Mines been getting worse ever since I tried to rebuild it, and I've redone it probably a dozen times. I suspect the grease on the shafts has been failing due to high RPM/heater temps.
