I think that would definitely be an interesting idea. Would love to see what it looks like with maybe the body color match.

    More testing..
I am on like Version 8.0:frusty:

    Diffuser panel looks promising/....
(now I just need to play around with different % transparency rates to get the perfect balance)
I think it looks better than seeing individual LED's.

    Thoughts???

Also, when they are off, the white background makes the red pop a little better. Cool, I guess.

Are the lights still red? Look kind of orange in the pic. Just curious. I do like the look tho

    All LED's are white.
Then they shine through the opaque diffuser--->Clear inner lens---->red outer lens.

By the time i'm done with revisions, these will be the ULTIMATE tail lights.

Side note....I have ditched the original flat top LED's as used in my prototype.
Now working with 5730 SMD LED's(WAY BRIGHTER!)

These are amazing!! Definitely much better than the stock taillights for the 3rd gen! I don't know who at Toyota decided to use just the bottom half for the brake light because it just looks incomplete. This is how it should have been from the factory.

Little update for anyone that cares:p::::

The current Raptor glow bar is nice... but having trouble getting the 2 halves to sit flush near the bottom.
The tubing is just too darn thick(1/2"!). Could make it work with some modifications... But I want the lens to sit perfect (like Stock) and make a good seal.

SOOO.. I have some Red Fiber optic tubes coming to test. They are 5mm diameter so plenty of space inside between the bucket and lens.
And it is clear when off...so I won't have the big white tubing showing. Downside; they might be a little dimmer. Not meant for DRL's but plenty visible at dusk/night. Well see...

    Last...
I have decided to use the dead space in the middle of the horse shoe as the turn signal.
    WHY?
Modifying the reverse socket is a pain and there is always a chance of water entry.
Also, when I get these boards made in mass production; both Brake and turn will bolt right in, and use the stock connectors. (brake, turn, and running light circuits are already up top). That way if people want to DIY... it WILL be plug and play. Trying to Keep It Simple.
And its just a dummy reflector anyway
Plan is to run another diffuser panel for the amber turn so it will match the "glow" of the brake light.
And I'm changing the brake Leds to red.. it will give It more of a deep color

    THoughts??

Really digging the idea of amber turn signals and being plug n play. Excited to see the new clear tubes.

Definitely not an Electrical Engineer.. I have outsourced a professional to design the board so it's 100% perfect.

But myself; I run a Car Stereo Shop full time. So I am very familiar with fabrication, 12V wiring, etc. This is just my side tinker project:D

Not quite sure yet. Still gathering prices for all the individual components.(these boards literally have a microprocessor that can be USB customized(brightness, flash, etc)
    I am leaning towards offering it 2 ways;
1)DIY retrofit kit. Will include 4 total LED panels. 2 RED brake/running(horseshoe), and 2 AMBER Turn signal(inner part);;; keep in mind..this still isn't an easy mod you still have to cut your lights open.
2)Full Retrofitted lights- ready to plug in . (these will be a little more custom with my signature Blackout mod and raptor perimeter lights) Possibility a Core Credit for your OEM tail lights.

    THIS IS HAPPENING

Can I make them strobe to match my response lighting for fire and EMs?
