Not today, but being done this week is new CV bearings, new shocks, an alignment, and 3 extra inches... (if I had a nickel...) Anyway take a look at your mileage and think about the CV bearing issue. The front CV bearings are the ones that are causing my constant 'harmonic vibration' (the kind that will vibrate for a few seconds, then be smooth, then go back to vibrating..about a 5-7 second cycle). I had an alignment done last month and it didn't fix it. The guys at 4 wheel parts here in Indy clued me in on the actual cause. This is probably on another thread, it's just that this one is my most watched, so I thought it was worth a mention. And moderators, feel free to move it if it's somewhere else. Anyway, my point is that this repair is covered under the powertrain warranty. The problem is that it's 60,000mi or 5yrs, whichever happens first. When I called ToyotaCare about it, I had a frustrating 61,045 miles on it. Should've frickin called 2 weeks ago, and I'd be in good shape. Anyway, check your mileage and check your stuff. Happy trails! Pics this week.

    Here's the thread:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...differential-bearing-vibration-thread.152173/

Had mine replaced with the TSB bearing by the dealership at about 12k. Baja's have a 1.75" factory front lift, and that was all it took to frag the first bearing. Because it could both be felt and heard with chassis ears, Toyota advised the dealer to replace the entire carrier (with the new TSB bearing installed too) I have around 32k on it now, and it starting to do it again. I'm going to see if I can get the labor for installing an ECGS bushing, instead of another TSB bearing. They will do the latter for free under warranty, but I would prefer a real fix.

Got my Westin 37-03670 light bar yesterday and attached it today. And got my CH4x4 rocker switch. I have the wiring but still needs the lights. Any suggestions?IMG_0004.jpg IMG_0005.jpg IMG_0007.jpg IMG_0011.jpg

I got them from 1AAuto.com. I had already done the heated mirror thing with my stock housings and my truck was pre-wire for the turn signals so this was a complete plug and play swap for me. It's great how they flip out when towing, but they mirrors themselves vibrate A LOT. It's not the housings either, it's just the mirrors. It sucks but it's still better than my stock ones when I tow so I'm just dealing with it. Eventually I may take them apart to see if I can stiffen them up a bit.

In VA for school for 10 weeks and I needed a place to paint my sliders that I just got. Found an abandoned parking lot, set up shop, and went to town. Now I have to start the install process.

Love this show. Could be another take on Overlanding and truck camping. There are lots of abandoned places big enough that you need a truck to explore them.

Took off the factory running boards because they were pointless to me being an inch from the floor boards

Waterport mounted. Unfortunately, it would be an "Iceport" for the next month or so. ;) awesome product! It should make life on the beach a little easier.

Interesting. Plenty of options for any budget. I chose a RC 30" because I got many lumens for the money, and it fits perfect for where I want it.

Fort Myers Toyota sucks two hours for a flipping oil change. No tire rotation. Their excuse was they lost my paperwork. You better believe I checked for fresh oil right in the service pull up area. Fuck them.

Removed left-over plastidip from my door handles. Safe to say i won't be derping for a long time. Debadged the V6 and SR5 on the tailgate. And took me over an hour to try and get this 3-4" sticker off my bumper, on a rainy day. A little over half of the sticker remains. So the battle will continue tomorrow.

Big day today...first replace the headlight bulbs with philips xenon look crystal vision ultras. We'll see how they look/function tonight. I also checked the look of the hitch mount recovery point. I like it but it reminded me I need to give my hitch a freshen up paint job when weather breaks. Finally got to installing my new JBL stage 602's all around. Can't believe how bad the quality is on the stock speakers. Last but not least...topped off the wiper fluid resivoir.

This that and the other thing.
don't want to start a thread so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Fog light anytime mod for an 09 that doesn't require me to bend a tab on the relay, found some that are for 12 and 13's would it work for me too?

secondly, wondering if theres a mod out there that will turn the other amber lights on in the headlights (parking lights i think) with my dtrl without having to turn the nob on the arm to get interior lights on.
