Spring break mod day and beach run..

 

I've done it that way and my best advice is go buy a single impact socket at northern or somewhere. I used a sparkplug socket on my 3/4 ton and it was all smashed and a lot shorter when I was done.

 

Waiting on the tax return. Going to spend most of it fixing things in suspension/under hood.

I still have no idea what is making my front driver shock thump, when I go over a bump. Honestly, I might just replace my coilover setup.

 

I get that occasionally with my ICONS so not sure what it is either.

 

Mystery squeaks on mine also I just gave up. Might need to retorque lcas

 

I hate it. Only happens when there is only a bump on the driver side. No sway bar connecting them anymore. Sounds as if there is too much preload on the strut, if that makes sense.

Edit: Also sounds like if a bushing is worn out....and a bolt is in there moving around, just making noise.

 

I thought about that but when I got the ICONS rebuilt I checked everything and it still does it at times

 

Same here. Everything looks ok. Only thing I can think of is that large tophat bushing. You think some just make that noise?

 

i have same thump sound when hitting bumps. Been doing that for couple years. i read it may be the steering rack bushings?

 

Yep, I wasn't too keen on the squareness of his design but for the price it's not bad.

Just get the bad rack and move it to the trailer when you get to that point.
