I turned wrenches for 5 years on ATVs and motorcycles and decided to go to college. The Snap On man would come by every other week and we'd nickle and dime a few things. After a year we had a full blown tool box of Snap On and it's the best I've ever used. But it's pricey. I don't wrench like I used to wrench and now only have Craftsman and a few Lowes odd wrenches. I have bought Harbor Freight but for me it's one time use items and a set of ridiculously large jack stands that'll hold the frame of my 3" lifted Taco high enough to remove a set of 33s at full droop. I couldn't pass that up.

I have a savage XL with the 4.6 motor in it. I know the motor most likely will not run, also no remote. It has bigger single shocks and good wheels and tires. Is it worth anything to try and sell it or should I convert it to a savage flux. I think the kits go for 250 not sure. I might just buy a whole new truck. No Nitro this time. Any thoughts?

Try Kershaw design, I converted my savage a couple years back, kit is much cheaper.

Been trying to figure something out.I have an rs10xt and I bought a 3s Lipo I read a couple ppl say they ran em no problem. Well it ran for about 3 minutes but now it won't power the motors. The motors are not burned out, just not getting power from the 3s. Anyone know why this is happening? Is there a high voltage cut off and a way to disable it?

    Thanks for any advice

You may need to replace the ESC and go back to a 2s battery.
The specs say that max voltage is 8.4. It states output but that may be a typo.

So in that manual, it leads me to believe there is a high voltage cut off that I can possibly disable? I tried yesterday but couldn't figure it out.I will try to exchange the 3s for a 2s

The ESC is probably done. If you do need a new one, get one that can handle the 3s.

The truck works fine with nimh 7.2v, so I feel like ecu is still good it's just blocking the high voltage from 11.1v Lipo

we might be misunderstanding what the manual is saying.
The high voltage cutoff might actually be an overload protection. When it sees too high of a voltage, it will shut down to prevent overload. Like a circuit breaker.
If it's up and working again, I'd just go back to 2s and call it a day.

If you check this link and scroll down to product description, it says 9.6 volts max. I do not think that ESC was designed to run on 3s.

I programmed the esc to disable voltage overload cut off and now everything works. I'll have to upgrade the gears in the servos and motors probably, already stripped one servo. It runs great on 11.1v so far
