    This is with the 15% off the reinforcement plate and then 50% off the cap. It's like $49 (cap) + $135 (reinforcement plate) + $20 (hardware upgrade) + $66 (shipping).

    Do you think the weight is enough to affect the dampener for the tailgate?

    I don't have a damper so I can't speak empirically, but I do think it''s probably heavy enough to affect it. You may want to post that question to see if anyone else has it installed on their 3rd gen.
