They look like 15x8. Maybe it's just the offset. Mine are deeper than those.

The beginning stage of the factory '84-'90 Land Cruiser center cap on some 17" FJ Cruiser steel.

I'm hoping it will look something like this:

Anybody looking to improve their taco, by adding or replacing with parts from a Land Cruiser, is clearly of superior intelligence and superior style. You are a very smart man, clearly with a fondness and hunger of only the best things is life....

Have I gone too far? Maybe just a little bit? Lolol:D

Haven't had my coffee yet. Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Do you know something I don't know? Like, there's no f**king way in hell that's going to work.

If you're being serious, then I appreciate the praise. But maybe we should save some for when I actually get them mounted. This could very well be a fool's errand. I knew it was a gamble, but I thought is was a calculated one. At best, they would just pop right on (slim chance). At worst, I'd have to potentially destroy them in an effort to fab a new way to mount them. And if I eventually get them on, there's also the potential they may interfere with the lug nuts.

The seller's listing stated they were for "1984-1990." Cursory research told me the center bore for those years was 106, so I pulled the trigger and crossed my fingers. The diameter around where the little tabs seat on the rim appears to be 108. I also discovered these caps were listed as rear-specific, so now I'm trying to find out if the LCs had something different going on in the back than the front. So far, no dice. Everything is coming up 106, sometimes 106.1. I must be missing something. A bigger hammer?

I may be looking at grinding out a six, very precise, evenly spaced notches 1mm deep around the center bore. I really want the caps to work.

Edit: These are for the rear because the fronts had the locking hubs that required the tall center cap.

I'm obviously heavily biased towards cruisers, hands down the vehicle of choice in the gnarliest parts of the world where the most rugged, durable, and dependable vehicle is the only choice. So I try to make sure that anyone that uses cruiser parts to upgrade their taco realizes how superior they are to the commoners. Yeah, a bit of sarcasm on the intelligence end of it, but I honestly do love seeing the 60 series Cruisers 'Toyota' emblem on grills of tacos, etc. Now I know it's likely not, but it makes me feel like folks are throwing a shout out to 4x4 Yota's roots. Lame as that sounds, it puts a smile on my face. Why I loved seeing what you are attempting. If I sounded overly excited about it..... It's because I am. Lol

It is indeed an homage to Toyota's 4x4 roots (planning on doing my own grille with the 'Toyota' emblem too). Every truck that impressed when I was a kid was a Toyota. And for the record, if I didn't have this truck, I'd probably have a white 80 Series LC. I really like those a lot.

Didn't like any of the $300-$500 roof rack options...so I found this 98 4Runner rack on the local off road group's FB page...for $75.

Installed some rivet-nuts in the roof, and other than a small gap in the front, pretty happy with this rack...and haven't seen one on a Tacoma yet.

This is actually a fairly common swap. Most out there cut about 1.5-2'' off it to get it to sit better.

I have two of them waiting to go on mine.

A little rewiring and some amber lenses and you'd have the baddest turn signals on the planet.
