What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Once you get started you will want to do the whole truck. I did the back wall, the roof, then the floor, and finished with the doors. You want believe how much quieter it is when it rains. My father has a 2016 3rd Gen and I feel like we need to shout to have a conversation when I drive with him.

Looking good! I just bought my VA/MD pass yesterday and did a little exploring on the hook. Too damn cold to stay out there for long.

 

I'm using the same stuff... use a heat gun to warm it a tad to promote adhesion. Also using aluminum tape to seal the edges... because I have OCD issues, LOL.

Question: are you.guys taking off the inner metal panel and deadening the sides where the window goes?

Just not sure I want to be messing around and cause interference with the window when it goes down.

I think eventually I'd want to do the whole thing. But first I want to get the hang of it and do at least the doors, and then possibly the back wall. Then, whenever I feel more adventurous I'd think about doing the entire truck.

Im going to try that peel and seal stuff. I currently dont enjoy my 15s properly as they are making my truck rattle like a mofo.

I won't be removing any metal... too much and don't feel like screwing anything up with the windows either, Ill post on here again whenever I get around to doing the doors and show some pics!!

Galaxy tab s 8.4" tablet running a custom Rom based off of MM 6.0.1 no bloatware, no bullshit, all android. Still functions as a full tablet. App on screen is Automate. Lots of options. (turn on WiFi, launch app and resume music on ignition ect....) still need to buy some 90° connectors and run dedicated power from inside console. Proof of concept works though so on to V2.0


This was yesterday's project. I used the same tool tray liner from my wheel well apron to make a cover for that little fucking carpeted area that's always getting dirty. Also made one for the carpeted area in the foot well that these cheap fucks from husky liner should have covered with their $100 floor mat. Works well so far but will need to make a second version to cover the section in front of the seat.

Thanks. I was looking into those android "joying" head units but it seems they're hit and miss. I recently flashed this new Rom on the tablet and it runs like a 2017 model so I decided to find a way to make it work. Just installed today so I will post updates on how I like it.

 

I bought 1 roll, ill do the backwall and some of the doors till i run out.
