Do you know if the premium harness is compatible with other light bars? Is that connector a common one among other brands? I wish CaliRaised LED would make a 50" curved bar and I wouldn't be asking this question

They make a 52" curved... If the other brand uses a DT connector then yes.

When wiring the LED bar I found getting the three wires through the nipple on the drivers side a serious PITA. When I wired the tailgate lock I used the passenger side nipple and it seemed much easier to wire. In any case, I made it work by taking the three wires out of the white plastic jobbie and then stripping back the black plastic outer layer about 18 inches. I was able to fish one wire through after about 10 minutes of trial. I then tightly taped the second wire to the first and from inside the cab pulled the second wire through. I then taped the third wire to one of the other wires already through and pulled it through. This was by far the most tedious part of setting of this light bar.

I agree, I had the same problem with fishing the wires through the firewall. If Ohiotaco68 didn't tell me about the little nipple I think I would still be working at it. He was a life saver for me. Good forum partner.

Does anyone know how many wires you can run through the nipple?

Which nipple? There's three. One on the drivers side, and two on the passengers side. And it depends on the size of the wires.... Looks like a standard pencil will fit through the ones on the passenger side.

The nipple on the driver's side is small. I have run 3 small gauge wires through it. Don't think I could get anymore through. The number of wires would depend on the gauge of the wire. I used a coat hanger to get the wires through and it was all by feel. Never did see the nipple onLY pictures of it on this forum. HA! HA! HA!

I have been trying for three weeks now to get through the drivers side nipple and have yet to succeed. Just got back from my most recent attempt. I'm gonna give up and make a new wiring harness that is longer so I can get through the passenger side nipple.

Finally got around to installing my light bar with this harness. Super easy. Took about an hour in total. One question. What fuse are you taping? My fuse box looks nothing like that? I thought the switch was supposed to light up when the dash lights and headlights are on but mine only lights up when the light bar is on

You can slide the wires through by pushing the entire grommet to the side. I couldn't get it through the nippple but got it through the side and then just pushed the side back over the wires, haven't noticed any side effects from doing this.

Took us quite awhile, but some wd40 on the wire sheathing helped a bit.

Oh, and I meant to post my question here but accidently did to another thread. My question is what is the necessity of doing the add a fuse to the mic tuning switch that was done earlier in the thread? My buddy and I did not..

Here's a crappy cell shot of the finished project :)

I'll take one tomorrow, it's the same location, but that entire black cover thing can be pushed over a bit to slide the wires through.

Are you not worried about it pinching off the wiring harness you are pushing through? Or water intrusion? I would be.. I am thinking of pulling it all through the same location I pulled my ham radio wiring through, if there's enough room. It's a single small grommet... or I may drill a hold below that one. Anyone think of a reason not to? There's only one piece of metal there right? Or is there one on the firewall side and one on the cab side... that would make more sense actually.

The grommet sits so flush once push back over the wires I am more concerned with it pinching the three wires running through it than I am of water intrusion, however so far so good. I did place some eltrical tape back over the nipple that I had cut off and a small piece over where the wires are coming out from under just for a little more peace of mind. I removed the electrical tape to snap a photo.

Find the brake light fuse on the diagram. Use that one. No matter what year or model they all have this one somewhere on the fuse block

Woah. you have SO MUCH ROOM TO WORK there... I can't even get my hand in there. There's a huge thing that looks like part of the braking system... I wil take pics tomorrow.
