Been up since 3am. I struggle with sleeping for more than a few hours when it's cold.
I stupidly slipped out of my truck into the creek, just for a picture. So damn cold. It was 35 outside, no idea how cold the creek was. Luckily it was only up to my knees.

I use a Teton 20* and my dog sleeps in the bottom of the bag. I did buy a Mr Heater but that was too damn warm. I'm ready for spring to be here.

 

I camped in North GA on Xmas Eve Eve by myself. That is currently my favorite site. Super secluded and a creek that runs along the entire camp, no creek crossings though. No cell service is also a plus.

 

It's not bad actually. I think the lowest temp I've camped in was 23 and I survived. Mine is the deer hunter series I think. The inside is a nice warm fleece type material (plaid in the pic) and the outside is a canvas Carhartt type material. It seems a little wider than most sleeping bags. It's not for two people but gives my dog enough room to comfortably wiggle in or out without bothering me. I am tempted to try a mummy bag but I don't feel like getting another damn bag. I also have another 20* bag. But I prefer the Teton.

 

I'm blind without glasses. I even have several pairs of prescription sunglasses.
