You all are confused. This thread has nothing to do with transmissions. Read the TSB in post 1.

Let me be more clear vibration is noticeable at 20mph, and during braking.(20-10) Sounds like driveline is Loose. "Whooshing sound" also present. But their is a vibration in the steering wheel and floorboard. I noticed it more after the the rev one update, which was for the tranny. My truck even pulls to the right side, my first thoughts when I heard the noise was loose bolts, dealership said it was to Toyota specs. But scheduling an apt with this tsb, I hope this just solves my problem with my toy.

had an appt with the dealer on Saturday to address the vibrations under braking. They've ordered replacement drums for the rear. I know a few in this thread have had the issue resolved by replacing the drums so I'm hopeful that this is my problem.

I should get a call within a day or two telling me to bring it back in.

I took my 17 AC to the dealer today. 1500 miles. They confirmed the vibration and said it was similar/normal to 2 other 17s on the lot. I guess I'll wait till a TSB for my year and vin# comes out for the vibration problem. They probably don't want to fix it on their dime. (Love the truck). They are a fairly good dealer

Is this in Canada yet? I'm getting lots of vibration between 70 and 90km/h.

The T SB is for speeds between 10 and 30 mph. For you that would translate to 20 to 50 kph (about).

Have your wheel balance checked. At those speeds I would attribute that issue more to that issue vs this drive line vibration. You can call your dealer and ask if they have a TSB about it as well. I haven't heard or seen anything yet about up here myself. So if you find out let us all know and what the Canadian TSB # is since the US uses a different format.

Warranty's don't carry guarantees. So just live life thinking it's normal. Toyota could care less. They make money by selling lemons, and not performing warranty work.

i dropped my truck off for the 10k service and to get this and another couple of TSBs done today. my VIN is not listed on the TSB but they did identify it as having the problem based on their diagnosis. parts are on order and they'll be replacing the 2 leaf spring assemblies and the steering damper, per the TSB.

if you are having this problem but your vin is not listed, go get it checked anyway.

An update on my situation, I went to the dealer last Saturday to have the brake vibrations looked at on my 2017 with 2500 miles on it.

    They order new rear drums.

Went in yesterday afternoon for the drum replacement, took about an hour.

The brake feeling is much improved. I'm now getting very even and consistent brake feedback all the way from freeway speed to zero.

Some very slight rumbles at low speed which I can definitely tell is driveline, now that the out-of-round drums are gone. But not anything that I would be concerned about. Feels like a truck should feel.

While I still don't believe this specific issue has anything to do with drums or brakes, I am still going rounds with the dealer on repair.
I mentioned to the dealer that my VIN does indeed fall into the range of this TSB, he wants me to swing by 1st to make sure the ECM has the most
up to date flash and that it still has it in there. Seems the 1st time they tried this it didn't take. (huh?)

So he said if the ECM is current, he will bring in Toyota for assistance. I'm not holding my breath but the dam downshift slams and rumble strip during deceleration is annoying. The dealer is 100% convinced its all within the transmission. This TSB says otherwise but until they do something to get rid of it, its anyone's guess at this point.

Yea, I am sorry I bought this truck but I did drive in for more than 30mins during the test drive and never noticed any of this crap. While I don't mind the aver 20-22mpg, I am very sorry I sold my 2013 Ram. It ran perfect. Could pass anything on the road except the gas station.

Does any who has/had this issue find that the vibrations go away when coming to a stop while in neutral?

Does your truck fall within the affected VIN and do you have the vibration/shudder now?
