What is the part number for this rack? The load bar set on frontrunner's site looks different.

Instead of searching by vehicle specifics, you have to shop for load bar kits in general. Scroll down further and you'll see it. They don't have an image for it yet either but it's there. I had the same problem and ordered the older kit by accident. Luckily they're local to me so I went in and exchanged it. They need to update their website.

How is the road noise and do you know how much height the rack adds to the top of the truck? I'd still like to fit in my garage if possible. I'm trying to get a measurement from near the base or the shark fin to the top of the bar. I'm finally getting close to ordering a rack.

Not a 3rd gen but I think the OEM roof rack is the same. I got a cheap universal basket and waterproof bag off Amazon. Free shipping to Hawaii :D but with the weight of the gear and all the bouncing around off road, the crossbars started sagging and had a hard time fitting into the holes.

This was this past weekend. I ha probably 250# of pottery that wife makes and sells at a floating store where our cabin is. Also had one big bag of cloth, a flat of coke and a husky chainsaw. Pounded in on 90km of fairly rough logging road. No broken pottery and rack held good. Bars did sag out a bit.

Thanks. It's just a Thule canyon with the 20" extension piece.

Great seeing the OEM rack being used. I too think it looks the best of all the roof racks I have seen and the 100lb limit on it is more than enough for the awning and kayak I want to mount up there.

Question...for those that did the install themselves...it looks pretty straight forward. I have heard some had issues with water intrusion after their install....did you just install with the supplied rubber washers that come with the rack or did you add any additional silicon above and beyond the instructions to help seal things up?

I just used the supplied gaskets. Install was simple. Hardest part was removing the foam tape used on factory black rubber pieces. Took about 20min a side with no help.

Had the OEM rack on all of my 2nd and 3rd gen Tacos, I'll admit I really just LOVE the look, without a rack they look naked to me. But I do use it all the time for surfing and have a basket to throw on in case I need extra storage on a longer trip. Here's mine in action:

I was planning on getting an OE rack to occasionally move a ladder, pump jacks poles, long lumber, etc. along with a ladder rack that goes into the hitch.

I like the look of the factory rack best, and like how it folds in when not in use. The weight limit is pretty low, I expected it would be at least 200lbs.

Dang, sorry I didn't get a picture, but we lashed our (pretty damn spectacular) 15 foot Christmas tree to mine. It was pretty solid!
