A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping

Oh you guys... sometimes people forget what it's all about. I purposely built my truck for one thing, 33's is the highest I want to go.

1st no one should buy a truck and keep it as it left the factory. 2nd... You're on Tacomaworld so i know you're not keeping it stock!

Have fun doing what you do!

I do LUV the quicksand color and I'm right there with ya, I wish it was a long bed.

Yes the Pro will pass emission. All Tacomas are 50 State Emission. If you look at the Window sticker it is code FE.

I live in CA and purchased my 2017 Taco out of state and had no problem with the emission.

I swore up and down that I wasn't going to not modify my truck in any way...

That mentality lasted exactly 4 days

I've often thought this question myself. I ended up with a Limited as the dealer had that on lot and offered a good deal.

I've thought about the Pro further down the road if it comes in a 6'. I've put more than $$$ into OEM upgrading. Enjoy your Offroad!

Yeah, just like I thought I ordered everything I wanted for my truck and was done with my build.... at least that's what I told my wife! Today she asked me for a final list of what else I wanted for "approval"

I haven't needed any of the TRDOR "toys" yet. I've used them to play around to see what they do, but I haven't needed all the MTD and crawl in real life. 4HI, 4LO, and locker is all I've used. Suspension's good enough right now, and in 3 years I'll put in about $2-3k on suspension. But only once the stock's have worn out. So, I personally didn't need all the extra that the pro came with. So, in the end, I got everything I would NEED from a Pro for about $37K (factoring in new suspension in 3 years). Not everything the Pro HAS, but everything I NEED.

Really, If I built everything I NEED, it would have been SR5 with aftermarket locker and suspension. But SR5's are priced out with so much crap here that I couldn't find one that was a true SR5 price. they were all within $1000 of a TRDOR. So I got the TRDOR. Now, if one can only figure out how to do a locker anytime mod on the 3rd gen but it's looking like that's not happening from what I've heard about the new wiring.

Sorry dude!! I may have snagged your cement MT Pro at Longo a month ago... was on the wait list in Denver for 8 mo. with no build date, so found FIVE located nationally online. LA was the closest at a cool 1k miles. Called and put a down on it immediately. They had two - I took the cheapest at 42k with no haggling. The CA paperwork was fine (get an experienced sales guy at Longo - David Cheng. He'll even work with difficult CO credit unions!) - Opted to p/u vs ship - paid CA sales but shipping quotes (2k) and time delay of 4-5 wks made it worth flying out to get it ($50 SW fare!). Most states offer reciprocity for sales tax, so don't have to pay again here, but CO 'ownership' taxes will eat me alive for the first 5 yrs regardless of what or where I bought a truck.

On the fence? Buy a MT pro. It's crazy fun to drive and we can't wait to get it off-road - mods and overlanding equipment are super cheap right now too so am filling the garage with goodies (great GBs here!). Highly recommend finding one online... dealership waits are stupid long and not cool. OR and WA keep calling with cement MTs IN STOCK. Screw waitlists!

No worries my man, I'm happy to see that the Pro went to another TW member. Although I'm not sure if you bought MY specific Pro. Someone else posted in the Pro Waiting thread that they also bought one of the Cement MT Pros at Longo. So one of you dirty birdys have my truck, just can't be sure lol.

It's aite. If I had bought the truck then it would have been a bad financial move. Nowadays I'm pretty much ready to buy, so it's just a waiting game. Plus I heard that they drilled holes in your front bumpers. Truck is absolutely rhunied! Hopefully mine will come without bumper holes, I told my salesperson to hold off on the drilling.

    How you doing?

I definitely recommend buying out of state. I found the Phoenix market to be a lot better than Vegas. It was a good $4k difference. So you should try to find whichever you prefer somewhere else.

For me, i was looking between SR5 and Trdor and the moon roof sold me. I need the wind in my hair.

SOS Offroad Concepts Low Profile Winch Bumper with Smittybilt XRC Gen II 9.5k winch with synthetic rope.
With the Pro you're gonna kick yourself for only having an extra inch of lift. I bought the OR and paid cash.....I could have easily afforded the Pro, but I've installed a proper 3" suspension lift, much nicer wheels/tires, leather interior and to many other little goodies to mention and am still thousands and thousands less than I would have been with the Pro. Even after I upgrade the audio system significantly, replace the grill and anything else I could possibly think of I'd STILL be about 3-4K under what the Pro would have run.

Everyone talks about resale of the pro being higher due to exclusivity but I only see that distinction if you replace worn out parts with stock replacement pieces which will be very expensive if only the dealer can get them to you. Very seldom do modified cars and trucks keep the same value as an unmolested original.

    A bit of mixing topics...
    - <100k miles and well maintained, what "expensive parts" need to be replaced on a Pro prior to trade in?
    - Agree, modifications in most cases actually hurts value. People don't want to inherit other people's bad work- especially in critical functions like suspension, nor do they want to pay extra for them.

Paid cash too, chose pro because I'm confident I'll get better than average tacoma trade in/private sale due to limited release and color. Adding modestly, with mainly reversible modifications (other than winch bumper which I think is so cherry would actually carry additional value).

No regrets not having 3 inches of lift. 33s fit fine, are at the edge of needing rehear, don't want to refactor all the driveline shit, and just don't need more for any adventuring I'm gonna be doin.
