Be careful with aftermarket 16" wheels from what I understand there can be problems with some rubbing on the calipers. Unless your planning on wheel spacers.

I bought some spacers from @TMA777 last week for a pretty good deal. I'm not going to put them on until I know I need them. I'm fully prepared to grind the calipers if necessary.

A hair over $7000 in damage. Insurance didn't total it out, so it's being fixed. I've go the check from the insurance company already. I think I'll have it back in a couple of weeks. I called late this past week, and they said they'd just finished putting on new roof skin. I'm also having them fix some pre-existing damage that wasn't from the tree.

Well the whole thing pretty much sucks plus the hit on the carfax if your ever to sell it. On a brighter note perhaps it'll return to you nicer than it's been in a while ( I have no idea what kinda shape it was in trying to be positive) and you'll like it even more.

Thanks. It wasn't in too bad of shape. A few scratches here and there but not too much major damage. Worse of the pre-existing was the passenger side of the tailgate where I backed into a tree back in 2009 or 2010; a hail dent on the top of the driver side half door; and a dent on the rear driver side fender from my fat ass hopping on the side of the truck to reach something in the cab and pushing in the fender right above the flare.

I'm over in Colonial Beach. The tailgate and fender are the existing damage, I asked them to fix. I think the hail dent might be getting taken care of with the tree damage.

Good so you get it back like new with just a few miles. Maybe time to let the mods begin! I believe there's at least 1 or 2 members over around Colonial beach near you also. Nice little community my wife and I went over there and walked along the beach looking for "sea glass"

Going to be cool Just put the tires on the oem wheels for now that ought to look nice. Kinda stealthy to nobody will notice it's ifted and bigger tires rt away. Not that I'm being really stealthy myself but it's an option

I know this will sound dumb but to keep myself mentally occupied on my 1 1/2 hour ride home during the week I count Tacomas. I average 40 all 3 gens have had as many as 60. Almost all 1st gens have at least oversized tires. The vast majority of second gens are stock but occasionally I find modded one. All 3rd gens are stock so far. I know it's dumb but it keeps me entertained.

That actually is something to do. My rides to Charlottesville during the week for school I see about the same amount just a lot of modded 1st gens a few 2nd gens usually something done to them and all stock 3rd gens. My third gen will start to be modded soon enough.
