I'm a gas grill person. Hate dealing with charcoal. I'll only deal with it when using a Dutch oven.

Hahaha my roommates boyfriend is such a little bitch. He is throwing a temper tantrum about the Pats winning, he's still going. Yelling about them being cheaters and trump supporters.
I told him to jar his liberal tears and send them to Brady. So he can use them as lube while he bangs his super model wife while wearing his 5 super bowl rings. (He didn't find it as funny as me)

When you unscrew the cast iron body from the top mechanical part there's sort of a stud there so I cut that off with a Dremel, then drilled and tapped it with a m8×1.25 tap. So essentially, the shifter rod screws up into the same piece that the body screws onto. I'll see if I can find some pics online to help with that confusing ass explaination.

Here we go, this is perfect.
Cut off the "body of plug"
Drill and tap the center of the "screw thread" section, but don't drill all the way through. You want the shift rod to bottom on something or it will never tighten up.

Edit: its worth mentioning that the material you'll be tapping is not steel. I think it may be magnesium, but in any case it's a softer metal so I'm hoping it doesn't just strip out from off road vibes. Only time will tell.

I don't cook chicken. That shit someone else can cook. I don't want to be responsible for salmonella.

Get a thermometer, when its up to temp take it off and enjoy. Or get thin cuts, it'll cook through quickly and you don't have to worry about over cooking the outside
