2016+ URD Y-Pipe and Cat Back Exhaust

I know someone has to have got the URD Y-pipe already... Anyone???

Thinking about finally ordering in a week maybe... Just hate being the $500 guinea pig. But if I have to be, I have to be. Gonna pair it with a Magnaflow exhaust (all welded). Was thinking about getting the URD exhaust, but the few clips I've seen of the URD Y-pipe & exhaust I've seen on YouTube for the 2nd gens just sound way to aggressive and ricer IMO... Again, that's on the 4.0, but no one's posting anything for the 3rd gen yet.

 

I emailed URD for pics of the Y-pipe and exhaust and their answer is always, "next week."

I just talked to Gadget and he said that he has shipped out several y pipes this week. Hopefully, someone on Tacoma World will install one and provide some feedback. I need to know if the gaskets will be provided or if I will need to pick some up before starting the intstallation.

Cool. Ill probably get one of these and maybe the exhaust too. Cats are garbage imo. Would rather get rid of all 4 but rear 2 is nice none the less. One of the perks of living in alabama. You could literally drive without headers and no one would care.

 

I know URD doesn't advertise much but jeez they could at least tell you whether it's an emissions-compliant or off-road y-pipe. I'm not ditching cats especially when a reroute is possible without doing that.

 

On the URD web site it states that their y pipes are not CARB compliant and should not be driven on pubic roads in California. It does not say anything about the other 49 states. You will not lose the front 2 cats which do most of the pollution control. I would like to get this y pipe but am waiting for someone to post their experience.

 

I'm really interested in that exhaust too...curious how well it sounds and whether or not they've truly avoided droning like they suggest.

 

I believe their kit removes the catalytic converters. Which is why the website states "bungs provided for the stock rear O2 sensors". The rear O2 sensors are currently attached to the OEM catalytic converters.

The O2 sensors are located between the front and rear cats which is why URD claims that their y pipe does not throw any cels. This is one of the reasons that I am seriously considering this option along with fact that the 4.0 gained around 30 HP with the same setup.

plus its all stainless tig welded.

all the exhaust shops I've seen don't use stainless and will do MIG welds.
might not mean shit to some but to me means a lot.

E test are not needed on new vehicles here, you get 7 years before you need one.
Besides not like I've ever given a shit lol.

I get no looks on my Jetta all the time. Thing would never pass a real inspection. Cost more but oh well.
