    New to TW. I came across your build and it looks good. Will be pulling the trigger on a tacoma some time this year and I am heavily leaning towards the 4cy/5 sp combo SR. Kids are teenagers and we have an SUV for family outings so I think the SR is the way to go for how I will use it (fishing, hiking, fire roads and forestry roads throughout northern ca). I sold my 1966 Nova SS a few years ago and I miss tinkering on cars and the SR may be answer. Thanks for sharing your build.

    Very nice! I just installed the lce header and just got my flowmaster 50 in the mail. Has the dealer told you anything about your mods when you go in for maintenance? I'm a little worried that they'll give me shishcabob for doing mods.

    It's never been to be dealership for maintenance lol. I do all the work and grease it and change the oil myself! This spring I'm gonna do the front and rear differential fluid and the transfer case fluid!

    Nice! Yea all I have is the 20k oil change left and will do the rest myself. You and tooter are the leaders for the 2.7 mods and dyno here. Do you have plans for the exhaust? Have you changed it yet?

    Nope haven't changed it. Gonna wait til the stock one rusts off which shouldn't be too long. But not sure what I want to get, just want it to be stainless.

    Did you retightened/torqued the header nuts after 100 miles? Do I have to remeove everything back off to do so?

    Does you steering wheel controls with the new radio? if do, did you have to buy any extra hardware?

    Yes my steering wheel controls work and so does the backup camera, you buy the harness to hook them up thru crutchfield, its all plug and play! You keep the factory usb and aux plug also!

    Thanks! Gotta say your build thread has been a tremendous asset to all SR owners on TW. I've been following since day 1, when it's time to replace my FJ I think I'm going the SR route and using you thread as vision to build my own.
