I would say my hands are average sized and I was able to get to the port to install the hose and clamp with very little fuss. You guys must have some pretty big paws. Didn't have to remove any bracketry.

guys, do you compleatly remove PCV valve, or install it after catch can?

 

For those that have the 2.85 pulley, did you use URDs special tool or were you able to use a gear pulley? Looking to do the swap, but I don't have the tool.

I had the tool, but it broke on my last install. I emailed Gadget and was told to call, got no pick up lol. So Ill call back later I guess. But yes, get the tool for install. And get a pulley puller to get it off

 

Do you remember which tools you needed? I know how to use the puller to remove the pulley, but what about reinstalling the 2.85?

one to remove (i used 3 legs 3 ton puller)
second to install (you may ask PULLEY INSTALLER, thay have a little set with 2 or 3 different tipes)
easy to use
just i had to use air gun to remove original pulley

and i had to place SC in cold place (frige) and warmed new pulley with hot water

 

No. Cans are installed in-line with the PCV.

 

Does it matter if Toyota reflashes the ecu before the supercharger install? Or should I wait until after?

 

I would wait till after. Just try not to go into boost after the install till you can get to the dealer for the flash. Orrrr, you could always pick up a mongoose and do a 2 day subscription to techstream and do it while doing the install

Basically allows you to do everything that Toyota dealerships can. The mongoose connects via OBDII port on your truck, then USB to computer. You can purchase a 2 day subscription to techstream for $55, which is what Toyota uses. This is the official cable, not the knock offs that may or may not work.
