I've had several Tacos over the years, but I'm getting a 02 RED TACO TRD 4X4 EXT CAB STEPSIDE this week. It has 122K, but it looks like someone really took good care of this Taco. My question is: after reading of all the mods, what would you suggest to enhance the looks. Say like tires, lifts, or just any kind of mods you guys like to see. I'm wanting to do shocks, tires, rims, or just anything that would look really kewl. Thanks, Dave

Sounds like your getting a nice Taco! if you just want to lift the front to level it out put Bilstein 5100's on. If you want a 3 in lift you'll probably get a ton of suggested lifts but I would go to Toytec.com and get a 3 in lift on their. Dont get a spacer lift if you want a smooth ride lol. As for tires it depends on what you want or do if you want mud tires you have alot of options you could get BFG KM2's which is a good M/T tire, or Toyo M/T they are really aggressive looking and get around well in mud and snow. If you want a All Terrain tire Imo I would go with BFG All Terrains you will get tons and tons of miles out of them they look aggressive and they do great in mud and snow from my personal experiences. For wheels there is a bunch of them lol and it all depends on your taste I would look around at other peoples wheels see what you like and do your homework and get the best deal you can. Hope this helped you out GOOD LUCK!!:D

Thanks Tacokid. I appreciate your help. I like the black style rims and I was wondering if I could get my allows powder coated to black? Would you think it would look good and whether or not you can powder coat them. I've seen gobs of tires on the site, what kind would you really suggest? I don't do off road, but I do like the fact that in bad weather, I can go where no man has gone before. Have you ever heard of air bladders on the suspension ? Thanks again for your help. Dave

[IMG]ATX Artillery I like, but here is the cheapest website I have found and I like most of their wheels
    http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resu...acoma+4wd+Extra+Cab&autoYear=2002&autoModClar=
and as far as the air bags go I have no experience with them I know they use them on big rigs lol but it would make sence to me that they would have a good ride, but dont take my word on it. Alot of guys powder coat their rims, no offence to anyone on here that has but im not a real fan of them. Its cheaper to powder coat them but I would just get some sick black after market wheels "IMO"

Does anybody know if there are any ToyTec promo codes that are available. I'm going with the ToyTec Ultimate Tacoma lift with Bilstein Shocks that Tacokid recomended. Also, can anybody tell me what size rims and wheels I can get when I get the 3" lift??? I'd like to get the sickest mothers out there.....any suggestions??? Thanks, Dave

Would there be in rubbing issues with the 285/75/16?

He was asking how much you paid for your truck I think. I wouldnt go over 17 inch wheels if you ask me, you get anymore larger than that on a Tacoma it makes it look goofy. IMO

Do you know what size tires I can put on a 17" rim and they won't rub?

Im not 100% sure I know when you go to a bigger rim your loosing tire to fit a bigger rim. I would say 33 with a 3 inch lift and a 17 inch rim should work but I would see what other people say or google it bro.
