What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Hate the exhaust drone though...it's terrible...gonna see if a resonator will quiet it down a little.

 

Today I cleaned it up. Last week I added the Toyota faux Bushwacker flares.

 

I've got a buddy with that exhaust and he's not happy with it for the same reason.

 

I mean it looks good but man the drone will kill ya lol. Gonna go to the muffler shop down the street and see if there is something they can do or apply to it and if not then I'll just sell it and get a Flowmaster 44 series muffler, idk yet.

 

Where you @ Dixon Blvd and US 1 like 2 weeks ago? If so I passed you South bound in the left lane....

 

The only two I've heard that don't drone and are not overly loud are the TRD exhaust and the AFE hi-tuck.. Still on the fence if I am going to get exhaust

 

They have a high tuck? I didn't see one on their site. Someone on here got a K&N BlackHawk air intake and when he put his foot to the pedal, it had such and aggressive sound. Kind of no need for an aftermarket exhaust with that thing.

 

They do. Really clean exhaust, and keeps the tailpipe high and out of site. My Airaid has a good growl, but when I was working with them on the development, we did a few different versions to dial down the noise so that it wasn't annoyingly loud.

Shit, that sucks man. How bad is it? I get my exhaust this week. Lucky me my work commute is only 3 miles round trip.

I'll take a video of it and send it to you. I think it's horrible but you might think otherwise...I've heard a couple complaints about the same drone issue. I might just take it off and sell it. I'll keep my stock for now.

Please do. I don't mind a deep sound, but now I'm curious to know how bad it is. Heck, I bet the turn down system I got is going to be louder
