The only problem I have with Eastern Washington/Eastern Oregon/Colorado is that I don't want my life to be run by Seattle/Portland/Denver. Aaannnddd that's probably all I can get away with saying. ;)

Yeah it's definitely a high population density vs low population density issue there. They always talk about making one big state out of eastern wa, North Idaho, and some of Montana but then they remember that collectively they have no money. I keep out of legislature and politics so I have no problems here. :)

Which ones? The big Anzo's were just mounted to the bumper. The small LED ones were mounted to 1"x1" aluminum tubing as a spacer. I believe I bolted the lights to the spacer, then the spacer to the frame. I just cut the plastic bumper with a razor to fit the lights.

Years ago I used to think that to be a 'Land Cruiser' had to be solid axle, yadda yadda yadda. Boy was I wrong. The 100 series are badass and these 200 series are even more badass. I get the luxury aspect and being a pavement pounder, but these truly shine incredibly off the main road and on the trail.

Great vid, my only question is how does the driver fit his massive balls in that cruiser???

I have had them all since the 60 series. The ones I hate are the 80, ugliest SOB ever, but gets the job done. My favorite are the FJ62 with the 5 speed manual swap and my 200.

Most of us LC owners trailer our massive balls :D

Lol, your comments crack me up, you always love riding that edge, don't you?;)

I'm afraid you're incorrect. I know for a fact that god is impartial to sports, if he wasn't impartial he wouldn't have allowed the Niners to fall as hard as they have... That's the only logical explanation.
On the Cruiser part though, absolutely correct. Let's be real, what else would he drive?

I know enough to argue religion with someone from UTAH :D :D

I grew up on original Nissan Patrols and FJ. My dad still won't drive a LC. He is a Patrol man.

Told me to trade my 200 in (lease ends in 4 months) for the Nissan Armada (Patrol).

The WORSE LC ever was the 80 series with the FJ62 motor. GOD that thing was a dog. At least it had cloth seats, 3rd seat series delete. That thing makes my DOUBLE CAB 2.7L seem like an Ariel Atom

Religion??? I don't go there, either. If you didn't catch my sarcasm, I tried to make it blatantly obvious that I was messing around. But I'm originally from Seattle... Big difference compared to demographic here, but SLC is actually becoming much more 'modern', thank goodness too.
Hard to blame the pops for his resistance to change with the Patrol, those were the only things that could keep up with Cruisers back in the day. Haven't followed them though for a long time. I still can't believe we didn't get Nissan's flagship vehicle, Patrol, he in the states... Damn shame.
Oh and your comments on the 80's with 3FE and being ugly and slow... So? Still most reliable/capable off road vehicle on the planet in stock form. The 80 series is the pinnacle of modern luxury(all 2 cup holders that only fit a 12 oz can, lmao) combined with off road prowess. Your valid complaints of it will only affect your opinion on looks and affect how fast you get from point A to point B. Neither of those were the top priority in the design and implementation of the 80 series Cruiser.
Sounds like you might actually be looking/needing an American truck with those concerns.... Lmao:luvya::rofl:

Question for you guys.. So yesterday while driving I would occasionally hear a click or popping noise coming from my front passenger side when I hit speed bumps or while turning left. I continued to hear this noise today and found that my cv boot is torn pretty bad. Could this being torn and the loss of grease be causing this noise or should I continue looking for something else? I've read post about cv boots from a couple years back and what people have done to fix them but is there any "new and improved" way to fix this? Longer or stronger boots?

So the missing grease and torn boot aren't making your noise, but definitely contribute to crap getting into the cv joint and subsequently breaking it down. And the joint itself going bad could be what's making your noise. No harm in fixing that first and seeing if that takes care of the noise, because you have to put in a new axle anyway. If it's already making noise, it's likely not a candidate for just new grease and a new boot.

Cool, that's what's beautiful about being here, we can all have differing opinions and not be butt hurt if others don't share it.

So the Armada is a rebadged Patrol??? Much like the 4Runner is a Hilux Surf or Land Cruiser Prada? You gotta be kidding... I had read a little bit about those Armadas actually being a little problematic??? I didn't really look into it though, only read that. How was your experience with it? I'm gonna need to look into it a little.

I don't have an Armada. No clue. The QX Infiniti was the US Patrol, but you had to spend 80K for it. Now you get a Patrol for 45K (which is rebadged as Armada in the USA).

Okay, so it shares the platform, frame and power train, etc. But doesn't get the off road goodies, among other things, that actually make a Patrol a Patrol... But at least the frames are made in Japan! Lol

    Quoted from that link:
Hate to burst your saliva-bubble, chaps, but this isn't the Patrol you've been looking for. Yes, it shares a rugged body-on-frame chassis and powertrain with what the rest of the world calls the Nissan Patrol, and it's built alongside that vehicle in the Kyushu factory in Japan. But most of the really good off-road equipment has been left off the menu...
