Anybody have an idea on this? We went camping over the weekend in Utah. Still nice and early in the season so very few people, a little snow and wonderful temperatures.
We pulled into a spot checking out the potential for camp. Spot was too muddy so we moved on. The next next spot looked good so we got out to survey. I walked up the bluff and started hearing some crows. Then it got real loud and I could just make out a bunch of crows and smaller black birds flying up and down into the trees. This was along the bluff I was on down into the revene a little. I asked my wife to grab the camera and then my dog came running up. At that point I start hearing something screaming and moaning. It was gut wrenching agony sound it was making. My dog heard it and freaked,,I had to tell wife before she heard it to relax when you hear this you won't like it. She heard it and no shocker said" we aren't staying here I'll be in the truck lets go".
I pressed on alone and got closer. The sound was terrible I couldn't stand to listen to it. The wind subsided and it became very loud and consistent wailing and moaning. I kept thinking it was a mountain lion eating a calf. Then maybe a deer with broken leg...inevitably the birds got quite all I could hear was the agonizing moan and I couldn't go any further. Being that I had no gun which this has me rethinking things for the future.

Rabbits can scream like a banshee. Deer can scream too. Could have been anything.
It was prolly a mtn lion having dinner. It's Nature's way.

And in other news... Is there a fix for a stock radio/nav that restarts by itself?

Mine does it randomly, over the weekend it restarted 4 times and froze once (had to hold power button for a while to force restart it). Mostly happened while on the highway, there and back. It's been a month or so since it did it last.
