I hope soonish, my buddy said he can do it if I bring him the third member. Never pulled rear axles though and I was told I should replace all seals while it is apart....

    Anybody any experience with that?

If you do it while I'm off school I can help you pull the 3rd if you need. What seals is he talking? Only thing I can think of, which you'd need to swap is the seal under the diff cover

One of the biggest Toyota meetups in the country. It's up in Longview, TX.

They usually don't allow 2WD vehicles on the trail though .....

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
To pull the third, you'll need to slide the axles away from the housing. Pretty easy, support axle on jack stands, pull wheels, undo brake lines from wheel cylinders, then disassemble rear brakes, unbolt hubs from axle, then slide em out and support them. Then you're ready to pull the third. The seals are the ones that mate between the hub and axle, I think the third is just red rtv.

And FWIW to anyone else out there, never do a diff drop kit. The damage they may (or may not) prevent to CV axles is far less painful than the damage that can occur to a dropped diff.

Found a DIY, they said I can leave everything intact and just slide the shafts out far enough for the third member to come out.

This depends on the Diff- drop. If you pass 3" of lift, it is necessary or you keep replacing the CV's.....
