    Its possible for sure. Spruce Taco is runnin 35's on 7" lift up front (he will correct me if Im wrong) and has NOT done the CMC

    I know for sure you'd clear 285's but as far as 305's I'm not sure. You're only talking a half inch difference. They may clear but I can't say for sure.

    You could start at .85 & that would put you at about 5" total. If it's not enough adjust them to 1.75. That will be plenty, that's what I had with my 285's & had 0 issues. I can post a pic if you'd like.

    @SpruceTaco Yeah that would be great. I'm building this up in the "do it right the first time" frame of mind. I've seen pics with the 285/75/16's and in some they look big and others they don't. I don't want to spend $800 on tires and immediately regret not getting the 305's. On Amazon the 285's are like $204 per and the 305 is now at $196. not sure why that is

    Could be that 285's are more popular.

    I like my 35's but you have more rubbing issues. You have to trim & I really should do the cmc. I'm at 7" now just to stop the rubbing on street use but I know it will still rub some off road.

    Is a re-gear completely necessary with 33's or 35's? assuming 33's are 285 and 35's are 305's? Mine is just a 2.7L prerunner..

    I'm not re-geared & still get decent mpg's also power still seem to be decent but mine is a V6. Both 285 & 305 are roughly 33", 315 is 35" & that all depends on the aspect ratio 70 is gonna be smaller that 75

    Yeah since i'm keeping the stock wheels then i'm going to keep the 75/16 whether it be 285 or 305. This project is a full go now. Proposed in December so now its my turn!!
