What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

New grill insert! I'm digging it! Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a pro grill but not about to spend $400-$600 bucks on a plastic grill. This was much easier on the wallet and the wife.....Once she notices, ha.

Drove it in snow, realized how awful stock tires in snow are, thank god for 4x4.
Trying to decide if I should upgrade tires given the fact we hardly get any snow(average 1 day a year, maybe 2)

Fixed the link. The grill doesn't come with the Toyota emblem but you can reuse it from the factory grill. I just painted mine dark metallic gray.

some interior swag today. Hondo knobs, patched centre console cover, reminder of all the lost dinosaurs, and the same dagger/ feather clip i've had on the rearview of every vehicle i've owned.

 

i installed an Extang Encore tonneau. you know, i never wanted a damn tonneau. but i gotta run to Houston to pickup a free 55" TV... so whatamigonnado?

the Encore is slick. really nice. easy install, excellent features, looks great. so far so good!

 

Just got an email from the Toyota service manager where I had the ECGS bushing installed. My bearing went out at 350 miles. they replaced it and it went out again at 500 miles. I Told him about the ECGS bushing so he got the OK from Toyota to install it and cover all the costs. He has replaced many bearings or Differentials over the years due to the vibrations caused by this bearing. They now STOCK the ECGS bushing at their dealership and have used it on many Tacoma's. So far they have treated me right.

 

I like it, its super clean!

 

after all the endless bitching i've heard about these types of issues, this is actually the very first appreciation post i've seen for a dealer/svc dept doing something helpful and then being appreciated for it. wow.

 

Did you take your rudder off? Also been thinking of the Boondox for my Slayer 13 Propel but nervous about that much sticking out the back.

 

Well haven 't dun it yet but just got back from UPS picking up my MATTE BRONZE RAY 10s . They will be going on as soon as the first week of Spring. Cum on Spring !

Yo Tadayone Your truck is coming out real cool looking. That color truck tends to look alot better with suttle addons. It looks like your in a area of the country to use that tacoma the right way

 

Painted the grille black, put on a TRD emblem, put in some color matched glove box letters, and slapped on some sweet custom bedside decals from @CBoy808

 

Paid $3100 for this sticker.
