Is it more of a sound nuisance issue, or will bad mounts/bushings results in damage over time?

Just changed my bushings out with the energy suspension poly set. The oem ones were 100% shot.

But the noise is still there and even worse possibly! What else could it be!?

There's plenty. Can fit my whole hand between them. The TC UCAs offer plenty of room.

Tomorow I'm gonna attach a go pro down there and see what it is. Atleast try to. I've spent weeks trying to figure this out

I'd try without the sway bar.

    Done it.

    Completely removed the sway bar.

I'm mind blown on what it could be. But, I know when I find it, it's gonna be a great day.

FOUNT IT!!!!! :dancingbacon: Its the OME Dakar leafs. The front "military wrap" bushing eyelet is too big. The whole leaf slides side to side on the bushing and contacts the leaf spring mount making my "clunk" sound every time i turn and hit a slight bump.

The sound and feeling must be traveling up into my floor board giving the the idea that it was the front end. I called ARBUSA and i will be getting a replacement set of leafs.

Experiencing a popping sound definitely from my front end at only 15k miles. Inexcusable. The sound occurs when going up curbs or over speed bumps when the front wheels hit, with the sound emanating most likely from the front, driver's side wheel.

WTF is up with these trucks? Are there any recalls or TSB's on these things?

P.S. - I decided to "pop" this thread because it's the first thread that comes up in a Google search for "2017 tacoma pop sound front wheel." The OP's issue with aftermarket leaf springs will probably NOT be the issue for most people.

Mine makes the pop noise when I pull out of my parking space and turn the wheel either left or right. Truck was less than a month old when I took it to the dealership. They had it for 2 hours and could not track the noise down. Told me they know it is a new truck and it should not make the pop noise but said they could not find it and just drive it and if it got worse to bring it back in. I don't like it but I guess I don't have a choice so drive it I shall.

    2.5" lift w/35's
Did you check the UCA Ball joint nut? it can also cause a popping sound

Edit: I posted this after you found your issue sorry. I had a loose ball joint nut on my TC UCA that would pop every once in a while

Are you using their bushings (yellow I believe)? @HeadStrong Off-Road sent Energy Suspension bushings with mine. They were so tight I used my shop press to push them in. But now I don’t have to worry about that particular tolerance issue.

Yeah the ABS makes a pop when it wakes up. Some people don't notice their trucks doing this or it may not be as loud. Service manager told me to drive it. Never thought anything about it since he told me that.
