TW's active 4runner builders BS thread

Has no front or rear bumpers and he has 15s on it. No headlights or grill either.

I'm going Wednesday.

 

Yikes, no $1k then. He bought it a year and a half ago with hopes to rebuild the engine and it had savage bumpers. He said he still has the bumpers, just removed them for sale

I wouldn't do him dirty. And I'd help install it.

People pay all kinds of money for complete set ups

 

Didn't notice the needs motor, meh, too much work for 15's and a meh lift kit.

 

Shot him an email. Mostly seeing if he had the rear bumper and would consider selling it. Almost bought the bumpers from the previous owner before the current owner bought the whole think.

Haha, I believe you. That'd be a good deal for Matt for sure. I'd like to get the experience wrenching on axles too. Why'd I have to move?

Ya it's not too bad I swapped my rear third 3 times and I've done the front twice. Couldn't make up my mind, but I'm happy with 4.88s and arbs front and rear.

 

Planned on going 35s?
As far as swapping, I wouldn't even know where to start. Most of the work I've done besides routine maintenance is bolt ons
Seeing it in its former state shows how much it's missing. Are you planned on parting it out?

Ya I would just part it out and keep a few goodies for myself.

We could do the swap in a day, it's pretty simple.

Just found this thread and am so stoked to see other T4R peeps on here! I always feel like I'm the only one at most of the SE meetups I've been to...

 

Just spent so much time lurking on Singtoe's V8 conversion. His third gen is awesome.

 

I split my browsing time pretty evenly but definitely message more on here with it's easier interface

 

I'm almost never on T4R anymore

 

That's good. I haven't checked out their Colorado section, working weekends ruins most trail runs for me
